MEDIC Exp

i think the medic’s exp are too much these days after health insurance concept came in… they gain just TOO MUCH from reviving!!! What do you think??

At least this gives an bigger incentive for newbies to revive people instead of running around aimlessly and ignoring your dying body on the floor. I am more concerned about game balance than how exp is delivered.

if it encourages people to play medics and revive people, then Im fine with it

Problem is, half of the new players don’t know how to revive so they run around aimlessly completely ignoring your dying body anyway

Is there a reason that earning ‘too much’ exp is a problem? Are they getting some advantage from earning a bit more exp then others?

I would rather have players actually being good medics and earning exp then just trying to play TDM. Supporting other players on your team should be more valuable then just killing imo. The best medics are the ones that combine doing both.

I don’t see the problem really. I mean you can play as a medic too if you want. It’s not like the exp is only for a select group of people. Everyone can play as a medic, if they want.

  • So what, if they earn more exp via reviving people. It’s not like earning more exp will give you an advantage. Levelling up in Dirty Bomb means next to nothing so…

I think the high exp is a good thing. It will help with giving people an incentive to play a medic like they should be (and not like a Rambo type merc like some do). Reviving and helping your team by healing them is an important part of teamplay. Medics are also more likely to get less kills then for instance support or pure assault mercs. So the exp they don’t get from killing the enemy mercs is balanced out by the exp they get for reviving and healing teammates.

I’m probably biased though since Sawbonez is my main merc.

Still, I also play a lot as Nader and I do get similar exp scores with her so, I don’t see a huge difference tbh. Maybe there is a difference but for me at least it’s not that big of a difference.

I think of it this way. Support has always been an unpopular class to play in games in general when compare to classes that are more offensive etc. The exp bonus serves as a good incentive to get more players to play objectives. Even with the bonus, it is hard to find games with medics. This bonus can easily show you how good a medic player is. Bare in mind this does not reflect how well you kill people, but how effective are you when it comes to doing your job. I am a big time support player and I really enjoy the exp boost. There will always be a class with more exp. It does not really matter if it is assault, medic, engi. There will always be a class with more exp and I think giving medic that exp edge really helps. People are still going to like playing the mercs to kill so why not just give the edge to medic to encourage more medics. The added exp only serves to level up a bit faster which at this stage means nothing really other than looking better on the score board. It really is harmless. I love games when the teams are godly imbalanced to the point where everyone on the other team has 10k exp at least and my team average 2k. I am however playing medic with no kills but 30k exp and even beat the highest score on the winning team. It shows that I did my job as a medic.
