I created a model of a large switch (like the kind you see in old-fashioned railway control stations, that are mounted on the floor with a big rod and handle combo thingy). I can set it up to animate and be activated and everything perfectly, I just can’t get it to sit on the floor, it sits about hlaf the model height off the floor. If I move the script_model_med through the floor, the model doesn’t show up. I tried moving the model in 3ds max and aligning the base to 0,0,0 etc and still no luck. What am I missing?

place a misc_model where u want. get the origin key from the misc_model and put the key in your script_model_med entity. then delete the misc_model… thats how i placed a script_model_med correctly in my map

Thanks that worked a treat. I wasn’t aware you could change the origin without it moving the bounding box in radiant.
