Maybe we could add China into the support region list.

We a group of dirty bomb player from China pretty like this fast paced FPS shooter game, but there is one issue: this game is downloadable on steam but doesn’t support chinese region. We got to play this game through proxy which is a trouble thing. What’s more, most of Chinese negative view is about IP blocking. They say the game is great but region policy is annoying. We a group of more than 350 players still suffer from the issue. Please, unblock chinese IP and make the game a better place.

I remember the last year when I was invited to CB, and my country South Korea was blocked so I couldn’t do anything but ranting to Nexon America about this.

Also couldn’t even get the Founders because I wasn’t even able to download, had to borrow foreign friend’s acc.

Asia is huge region and DB isn’t suppose to be aiming/marketing Asia region YET, but they will hear you when you inquire this to SD or Nexon America Support.(May be they are supporting KR just because of me, who knows.)

I’ve seen lots of CN players around, and hope they will be more.

I still miss my Founders though. :frowning:

@RazielWarmonic @Exedore @stayfreshshoe

Can you help this poor Asian region players? I know we are definitely not in our sights, but please…

I can admit we have the best potential for player base.

They will just stay as “investigating” forever. I send a support ticket before for my China friends, and no clear answer. I don’t remember how was since that, but few months for sure.

MissMurder and Raziel have both talked about this a few times I believe. It’s not that Nexon/SD doesn’t want to release the game in every country. It boils down to assets in the countries, contracts and laws, current issues/laws and most likely quite a few other things too (like localization). It’s a lot more complicated than people realize to get all the logistics worked out and sometimes there isn’t anything that can be done.

One good thing about community servers, when they get here, is there might be the potential to get DB into countries that aren’t technically supported due to issues like localization or because of infrastructure reasons.

That’s a piece of cheerful news! Hopefully the day will come soon.Thank you and all those who make efforts about this in advance.

@Amerika do you think when the game is full release, Dirty Bomb will be able to introduce to Asia players officially, which means China players don’t have to use VPN to play this game ?

(KUST__LunarTM) #8

Wouldn’t the main issue be China’s internet restrictions? Idk how severe it is now, but I had a Chinese high school exchange student living with me this last school year, and he was completely blown away when I showed him Google Maps. He had no idea it even existed.

It’s not a matter of release. It’s a matter of politics, localization, laws, costs and a bunch of other stuff. Since DB is a fully hosted game it means there is a lot of factors to consider for a release in a country.

There was a thread not too long ago (not this forum) that a company is buying rights in SD to add China to Dirty Bomb’s supported region. Hopefully not too long to wait for you awesome people in China

(AlphaUT) #11

Many of my China friends quit the DB because of this stupid issue…although I don’t think I will connect to Asia server, ping will just be 150+ LOL

with it looking like SD is being bought by a Chinese company, there still might be hope
