Of 6 competitive matches, i had the following today:
2 matches of 5vs 1 (the 1 being me, which i left since no penalty and snowball’s chance in hell)
3 matches of one side winning in less than 30 seconds(after swap).
1 match where 1 player got 95% of all kills as a sniper on chapel, somehow shooting everyone as soon as the angle allowed (1 hit death weapons make medics useless).
how is this nonsense fun?
They can’t do anything about leavers, cheaters or low playerbase. Comp need forced balance, but this wouldn’t be fair to elitists who like to spawnrape weaker teams. Just leave comp if you don’t have a full-5-terminators-team.
Yeah I’ve been running into some serious problems with the matchmaking system too.
The big problem i have been having since finishing my promos is completely one sided games, I was wondering why it was always the other team that was better than mine (i wouldn’t of minded getting carried though a game or two).
I think what is happening is the match making system is paring you on a team of people of your level and then just pairing you with any other available team.
It has happened multiple times now where my team is entirely my rank (Silver) and the enemy are entirely cobalt.
Getting kinda sick of it, because i know that because i am a low ranking i can never win a match.

I don’t even think THAT is the case. I think it just throws together whoever it wants from a pool of whoever is available. So many times I run in a 4 group where most of us are cobalts and our 5th ends up being a silver 3 or something. I don’t think there is any attempt to balance any match what so ever.
Yeah, how unfair that people are rewarded for forming regular parties/teams and working together in a competitive mode for a multiplayer game. Filthy elitists wanting to win! How dare they?
I’ve barely played this game over the last week due to the “balancing” from last patch. I decided to jump into a game. The amount of stomps that are occurring due to however it’s working out the balancing is just demoralising.
There are less competitive, close games now and it just feels like there are far more 3-5 minute stomps.
I sincerely hope they do something about this, because with all the games coming out / coming up I’ll happily leave this version of DB behind.

Although I agree with OP I’m sick of people using this as an excuse for them doing bad. 90% of players now will either rage as soon as they join about the other team having ONE high ranked player or when shit gets too hard for them they then start complaining. Any matchmaking change needs to be thought about properly, don’t just slap a level balance on there because that means zero in this game.

Yes. and if the teams were unbalanced as hell before, a third half will be played and counted for the results instead of the first.
