Matchmaking lobby bug?

So me and my friends decided to play some ranked match and could not find a match so we wanted to do something “fun”. We switched leader with each other when suddenly it said we found a match and i just made my friend leader and he couldn’t accept the match and suddenly he “canceled” (he did nothing) the thing so he got a cooldown. Can someone say what happend?
