Massive Lag After a Few Minutes

(terseAim) #1

Hi all,

So, I’m having this pretty major issue with the game. After a few minutes the game will start to stutter massively, and then return to normal at the start of the next round. Rinse and repeat.

It feels almost as if it’s a memory leak, but I’ve been monitoring usage and it doesn’t appear to be so. FPS will remain above 100, and I’ve played around with all graphical settings, but after five minutes or so the game becomes unplayable until the next round.

If anyone out there has any idea what’s causing this and/or has any potential solution a reply would be greatly appreciated.

Specs if it helps - FX8320 @3.9GHz, 8gb RAM, GTX 680.

Thanks in advance,

Jemaine

there is a thread about this:

maybe also a FPS config can help:

i have this issue mate , my solution was to use VSYNC.

Thanks both for the replies, I did have a look through a few pages of threads but didn’t see anything at the time except a one post thread that I did reply to also.

My FPS is fine, that’s not the issue but thanks anyway.

I did find VSYNC helped somewhat, but it’s still fairly apparent at least for me.

I’ll continue reading the other thread to see how it progresses.

Thanks again both…

the fps configs also set texture streaming off
if i don’t set this off i get weird sound lags.
you should give it a try i think.
