Massive fps drops on full servers

(Whhaayy) #1

on an empty server im able to reach 110 fps with drops on 90 from time to time

4v4 im usally able to rach 70-90 fps with some little drops but on a full server im playing with around 60 fps and drops on 50 or 40 thats just unplayable for me because i cant even aim anymore my croshair is just jumping around
ive already tweaked my cfg as hell but it doesnt matter does ynone of you maybe got a few tips to get atleast on 70 or 80 fps on full server

my specs:
intel i5 750 @2,6ghz
nvidia gforce 560 gtx ti
6 gig ram

(thats not a critical thread or something more a search for help)

If you already tweaked your config what could someone say to you that give you more fps.
Your CPU isnt that good may you want to buy a new one or OC the old one but dont know what you want to get from this thread because there are 10 more threads like this.

Edit: better ?

Will u stop posting like that?

btw. Here is one of the threads about FPS issues.

I am having the same sort of issues but I think it has something to do with my graphics card. I gained an extra 10 fps by fiddling around with the resolution the other day.

Same here on a full server, especially at London Bridge on the balcony after the first barricade.

(scre4m.) #6

you wont get a nice performance with those systems specs at the moment.

there are only two solutions to solve this issue:
a) buy a new system
b) time: wait until we get some optimized textures (-> the whole DB-world seems to be some kind of mirror. everything gets reflected and stuff. We’ve tried to disable this with tweaking the .ini files, but no big result atm.)

(murka) #7

… how is any graphical tweaks going to change a CPU bottleneck?
Yes, the only options are to wait or buy a new CPU.

Why not post all fps related stuff to http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/33219-Framerate-(fps)-in-game-(maps)-and-rig.
Getting mighty tired of recurring threads.

I know two people with same graphics card as yourself (1 being me). I have 560ti, i7-2700k, 12gb memory and i range from 166-90fps normally.

Could be your chip as luQx mentioned. I am using a config with some tweaks and using lodbias=3 for all those multiple areas with lodbias and most updated drivers from nvidia. When I updated my drivers last time it gave me a boost as they had not been updated in about 3 months (about 20+ fps iirc).
