Hope it hasnt been mentioned before. Just want to ask…i recently run server and want to ask You where it could be the best place to advertise it. Thought there used to be some Server Advertising Topic but couldnt find it:( Can you help?

The best way to advertise for a server would not be to simply post “COME JOIN MY NEW SERVER!”. You should arrange some sort of event and the advertise for it instead, that would make more people interested.
absolutely the best way to gather players, that aside, the site in my sig has a classified section you’re welcome to post in
*gg i/we tried to make a kind of adverticing with x-mas mod the sw mod and many other things for a server and forums - but we had no success - so we close our server and forums - because too less regular players 
so i hope you have more lucky
Massive thanks nail. Ive already posted on site mentioned in your signature. Also, am intending to take a closer look at splatterladder. They do offer pretty much interesing advert possibilities.
Emm, what kind of event it is supposed to be avoc?? The one ischbinz ran? Do you happen to have any experience in this field? I think its that sort of advert am looking for…
we had some actions -
lms tournament - with some funny prices - good visited - but no regulars
24 x-mas packs - good downloaded and used on other servers - but no regulars
and some other things - if you have few players - good if not - hard 
You can’t make server popular over night. In the end all players ask for is non cheat gaming environment and bitch free.
All i can think off is good map line up and good players and server will be good to go.
Lately i have seen many players play for just that splatterladder rating. If your server is not set which supports their rating they will hardly play around. But again this mentality is only on 2.55 and hence i like 2.6b more.
