Marder III beta - Comments accepted

It is gonna go into my new map. This is only beta. It is from 5th Panzer Corps and skin is made by me.

All constructive criticism is accepted as well as some help on how to get it into map.

All I see is black, except for an oversized Totenkopf insignia, that looks very out of place. A shot from your modeling package would probably be better for comments.

I must also say that the very first pic shows the tank in a weird perspective. I don’t know, but I’d say you need to get the width of tank in proportion. It seems to look as if it’s been squished from the side.

I think that s the SS skull. If you use the model in any map, it won’t be hosted on any German server (and Austrian too I think) because there are laws against that. Apart from that I really do recommend that ppl should be careful about which insignia they use.

The tank looks very low detail atm. Take a look at the tank models which come with ET to see how sd did it.

Try to use the different views as backgrounds in your modelling program to get the dimensions right. Additionally you should find more pics (like these: http://wilk.wpk.p.lodz.pl/~whatfor/marederIII_M.htm ) to get an impression of the details and the paint.

You can also try to get a book about the Marder tank (e.g. from the library) for additional infos and pics.

Beta is beta. Hard to judge that. I remember when I made my first model (brushwork) I was just satisfied I had made something new to look at. (functionality, file conversion stuff) Probably be jonesing for extra details as you move along. Keep it going.

I still think the jagdtiger is uglier…
