Mapspecific Nightvision & Thermalscope Mod

In this example file I show only that it’s possible to change the view of the
sniper scope and the binocular individually for every map you want.

For example I modified the six stock maps:

Gold Rush......: Binocular = Nightvision, Scope = Thermal
Würzburg Radar.: Binocular = Thermal,     Scope = Nightvision
Fuel Dump......: Binocular = Standard,    Scope = Thermal
Seawall Battery: Binocular = Thermal,     Scope = Standard
Siwa Oasis.....: Binocular = Standard,    Scope = Nightvision
Rail Gun.......: Binocular = Nightvision, Scope = Standard

Please refer to the map scripts for guidance on including it.

Free to use in your map, mod or whatever.

nice… my actual map project is very dark… perhaps those binocs help.
atm in my map you see only a black shadow if you are about 50 meters away or are in a very black area.

No, it helps not a bit for your map. It’s just a optical effect wich looks like you see though a nightvision binocular.

But would be nice to know if there’s a chance to show a map brighter if a binocular or scope is used.

without wanting to say to much because my shaders are a bit rusty now and im not going to test this. You could try multiply the colour values with the scope/binco shader to increase the brightness and contrast (maby making it easier to see)
