- I love to play online with friends but I was wondering my server can’t find some of the maps they use…
Is there a way i could download user created maps?
If so is their a way i could do it in one big package?
single collection one at a time takes too long! :x
maps?
Nope, there are far too many custom maps to put them all in once package. Just pick the ones you’d like to play from a download site or download them from some other W:ET server.
Oh, and my favorite class? Spectator!
This is more of a mapper forum than a player forum. Kami’s right, there’s so many maps released, but only so many are worth downloading. Check out sites like et.splatterladder.com for what custom maps are popular and played a lot, and make your decision based on either popularity(number of servers playing map) or popularity(players that want to play a particular map). Splatterladder has some kickass stat tracking too, like kill/death ratio etc.
SL tracks:
-map playtime, who plays what, and where
-overall ranking tracking over 300k players
and so much more(buddy list/server favs/etc)
[Edit]-if you cant find a particular map, try sites like:
Filefront.com
rtcw.filefront.com(has et stuff too)
planetwolfenstein.com
RTCW2 Prison.com
wolfmap.de
…and there are many other sites if you can’t find what you’re looking for.
I’m sorry if I forgot your site [insert-indispensible linker name], I just put some links I could remember…

- some how i am not too supprised. The question came about because i don’t on my pc have the ability to handle rar files… so i thought if some one just stuffed them in one big zip file then i could get to them easily…
Honestly i thought winzip or pkunzip was the norm these days  Winzip you have to add on extras for certin extentions which i am sure i can do but i’d break my fingers trying to find a copy of that old excutable program on the net cauz i don’t think many people use it anymore cauz zip is so popular…
Indeed, 7Zip is the most cross-file packaging programm.
and Rar is the best packager. WinZip is on the 3d or 4th place and not very popular amongst mappers/devs.
:look:
