Since the forums were offline during the release of the first beta of this map, I decided to post the announcement here as well. I’m sorry if that is against your intentions Sage and Pegazus.

I now had the time to play your map and I have to say it looks great. Friendly feeling and comfy atmosphere.
I have noticed some smaller issues. The bushes occasionally have places where you can get through, but not back. One of them being directly opposite of the Tunnel Door at the CP. Another thing is that the sun is visible through the black smoke of the tank when it is destroyed.
Other than that I don’t think I have noticed much. Fantastic map and I especially like the rotating wheels on your tank. Front and back axis are both rotating! Did you model that after a real vehicle that has also turning back axis or is it own creation?

Anyway, fantastic map, happy new year and so good to see both of you releasing maps.

So, I just made my account to let you know guys that is map is absolutely fantastic!

There is only one bug I’ve noticed right here, but that’s pretty much it!


And also some of the trigger_push in the bushes are a little weird sometimes, but that’s okay. :smiley:

Thank you, Kemon, for your help! We refreshed SD forum for days in the vain hope that it would come back online but after a while we sadly gave up, but thanks a lot, Kemon, you are a good mate!
Would you be so kind to show some of the areas where you can not get back from going through the bushes?

The SdKfz234 is an interesting vehicle indeed because it has eight-wheel steering (can you imagine operating such a vehicle?). We also looked at some old footage from war time to get inspiration for the wheel movement. As far as I remember, Sage had a nightmare scripting it hihi.

Bonjour, Dominator56, mille fois merci! Funny how after so many years of testing this little bug managed to sneak by us. Thanks for noticing it! Could you explain a bit more how they are weird? We did consider removing trigger_push, perhaps it might be a thing to consider?

That vehicle is truely insane, haha. I just watched some footage of it, poor Sage.
For the bushes I’ve uploaded a small Fraps video. It is only from one section because that was the only reproducable one.
Now I’m getting a bit old, so it was also probably the only one and I just remembered that incorrectly :smiley:

Here is the video. In the second run I used my /noclip bind so don’t wonder why I just hovered through the bushes.

I wouldn’t remove the trigger_pushs. It is a refreshing way of clipping things.
Admittedly, at first I was a little confused, but that doesn’t mean they need to go.

I remember testing this map on Wolf:MP in early days… This map is older than your children! :smiley:
