First of all:
I want to thank all the people who helped me in creating my first ET-map. The posts on this forum really have helped me on my way.
I’m no prefab-dude, and some good descriptions/comments/explanations of things i would encounter, was all i ever wanted to find. I found everything i needed to know right here on this forum.
THANKS A LOT FOLKS… especially those people with all the right answers (not that many actually…often the same dudes)

I spent a lot of time researching and understanding things (vis,detail/structural,shaders,etc.). I’m glad that it all worked out well.

Just an old picture…

(the ceremony really works… allthough it’s no mission-objective. It was created to be used solely by our clan. That’s why there are so many players needed (from both teams) to activate it)

Looks good. lol at the goose.
I tried to put a fruit machine in my map but in the end it didnt look right.
ill check this out

Sky and terrain were black and orange for me.
I have played this before on a server though and it was ok

Big, massive, lots of place to explore.

In one word : Great.

Only one thing I wonder about:
The beer in the cafe: Too bad you havent made it possible for the stamina to go down after drinking it and the health to go up. :slight_smile:

The fruit-machine pays out, when hitting a 200 score. At first I wanted to give it a functional score-display, but lateron i decided not to implement this feature… maybe in some future-map, when the fruit-machine may pop-up again…

indeed, that would be nice… or something like the visual effect of the venom-injection. Eventhough i’m not sure how to map that (without modding).
The beer is a hit… time for an AWA foundation. :beer:

lots of place to explore

I’ve tried to make a good balance in choosing spots for every player-function…even for those freakin’ snipers.
There is some (more) open terrain, and some space enclosed by buildings. There is always lots of action near the Ammo/Fuel-building.

I don’t know if your aware of this or not but you have made your map where the objective Icon over the Players head is now a fuel can for all maps.

This “feature” is gone in the last version of the map… You are probably playing an early beta-version (the beta-map has the same name… yes, i know… I should have renamed the file).

yes couple of things i dislike actually, on the last spawn where the tank goes into i spawned once inside a ceiling. also the tank once broke down and was unfixable but you might have already fixed that and was pretty much rare for that to happen, i kick ass with the flamethrower in ur map :smiley:

Good point mazdaplz. You are right, I noticed this too… I will correct this error.
I worked through the last-minute changes a bit too fast…

As for the tank,… It can happen to tanks in other maps as well. For some reason the defenders have to demolish the tank an extra time, and after that, the attackers can repair the tank again.
I’ve seen this tank-behavior in many maps. (“same” script? missing lockout?)

  • Changed last Allied spawnpoint back to Braboheim (why was it replaces anyway?)
  • Allies have an extra spawnpoint in the final stage of the mission… they now have 2 spawnpoints at the end.
  • Bridge construction area is now without a little bunker (to let the Axis work harder to get the bridge fixed)
  • Extra mission-time changes (total mission-time is now: 35 minutes)
  • Placed an extra health-“cabinet” in Braboheim
