Map testing

(Maek|) #1

I’m tried to test my first map. It has spawns for deathmatch (or whatever it is) and for both teams. I typed to console:

/sv pure 0
/g_gametype 2
/devmap <mapname>

It starts the map as spectator, and when i press L for limbo menu, ET crashes. What I did wrong? :?

You forgot to put mapcoordsmins/maxs in your worldspawn.

How do I know what is my map’s mapcoordsmins/maxs?

Check out my last post.

Also before you encounter your next problem familiarise yourself with the search button up top, it will surely provide you answers to pretty much everything.

It has to do with your command map, you have to define your top-left and bottom-right corner of your map.

Have a look at your Level Designers Reference(LDR) that came with Radiant. The Command Map section is what you want. The LDR can be found in \Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Radiant-1.4\docs\Level Designers Reference\index.html

You don’t have to have a command map/shaders to test your map. But you do need the min/max coords.

[edit]yea, if you’re using 1.5, do what chr1s said 8)

Its funny that everyone says that you need the mapcoords, when I can run all my maps without them

This only works in W:ET 2.60.

if u dont have a command map then just remove the command map in the view, i do that often if i just want to test something :stuck_out_tongue:
