:banghead:
I inastalled Radiant last night for the first time and did the basic room thing. In fact I did the basic room thing several times. Anyway, Radiant runs nice and fast and seems to do all the things it is meant to do except saving and compiling. Like I said I tried this several times and even uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. I attempt to save simply by clicking file then save. I attempt to compile the loaded file by simply clicking BSP and then fastvis.
The room goes together but when I save a new map (without an extension) I get this output and 0 byte file:
Saving map to /home/wingnut/.q3a/baseq3/maps/test5
Map_SaveFile: /home/wingnut/.q3a/baseq3/maps/test5
WARNING: no module found for map interface type ‘q3a/baseq3/maps/test5’
Saved in 0.00 second(s).
When I save with a .map extension the map appears to save properly but when I attempt to compile it I get the following output:

“/usr/local/games/GtkRadiant-1.4/q3map2” -connect 127.0.0.1:39000

“/home/wingnut/.q3a/baseq3/maps/test5.map”
Connected.

Am I missing something in the process, or a piece of software? Has anyone dealt with this problem.
much thanks for any help.
