[QUOTE=spookify;520579] The Objectives blow in Dome but there is potential.

yeah. but there are fun places to fight in between objects. we just need to make objects work, and then we have a nice map!
Map Preference Poll - v41588
I agree especially if the defending team has a recapping objective like a Flag or Rebuilding a wall! SW is all about timing and waves. Right now the maps do night highlight that.
Let see if there is some real level design progress, and maps rework. This my major concern about the next update
They only removed Bridge so maybe that map will change… But I am also hoping for other map reworks too!
I’d bet we will not see any major changes to the maps we already have (apart from Brige Alt and Dome). Probably more likely that completely new maps will popup down the road. Which is a shame because the maps in their current state just needs a “little” finetuning and they would be pretty solid maps.
Agree - A little effort would go a long way with some of these maps. It’s too bad they are either happy with the current design (because echo told them it was cool) or they are simply cutting their losses
True. OBJ and SW maps also need to be different but SD said that Updates will get to large… PFFT! OBJ mode is broke I hope they fix it!
afair they are NOT happy with current maps. but with DOme being a place for layout experiments they will eventually fix other maps with the data, obtained from Dome experiments.
Who is or are the DEV’s working on Maps?
Do you think while designing or Redesigning maps we could be brought in earlier in the process? I mean early early like hand drawn or rough layout sketches. A DEV can post 3 different layouts they are thinking of creating and the community can pick on of the 3 and say why. They can also give suggestions very early in the process.
This Map situation seem to be the biggest concern to people so why not get us involved early. We did see a view of DOME and yes it was very hard to understand so progression arrows and objectives might need to be highlighted so we can picture it.
Are Maps the most time consuming? It sure seems like it. Are Maps the biggest complaint? Sure seems like it! I know this is an ever changing game and not a box product but after 2+ YEARS! Maps and especially the Objectives have changed very little.
Are we looking at a 2017 release for Open Beta because this game wont be around long if maps are some what set in stone. Its like releasing LOL with no Turrets but we are going to add them later OR CS with only one plant site but we will add a second later OR OR Tetris with no Long pieces! But we will add them later!

Yep no news since long long time …
I find it funny how everyone refers back to ET maps because when I stopped playing ET the maps were a far cry from those that were originally released. We went from six varied thirty minute maps, and not being able to blow up the back door on Battery. To multiple competition versions of stock maps to a few custom house hold names that could be finished in only a few minutes! With only one of these stock maps having actually lasted the test of time!
I think I may follow this up with a more in depth post…

No need, everyone knows what you are talking about.
Just imagine radar without allies CP spawn. Map wouldn’t be played in comp at all, and became one of the best maps in W:ET of all times.

I just think people forget how long it took the community to evolve the game to this point!
well considering the amount of rules QWpro had to introduce to make 6v6 viable…
