- you can use any textures you like, most of them are from Internet anyway.
- you can use any of the .wav sounds if you like. all are made by myself and therefore free to use.
- NOTE: Tesla model is from www.blackrayne.net. any credits should to here for this model.
  use of this model in other maps only when you follow the rules that are on the specific website.

-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-

-install on local machine:
	
1. Download the Outer_Space.pk3 file
2. Put the pk3 file into your "etmain" folder  (usually can be found at: "C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\")
3. start the game
4. open console with the ~ key (left from the 1 and up the TAB key)
5. type /g_gametype 2  (it will tell you it will be set on restart, DONT restart)
6. type /map Outer_space
7. play!


-install on a server:

1. Download the Outer_Space.pk3 file
2. Put the pk3 file into the "etmain" folder
3. if needed, add to your fastdownload server
4. add map "Outer_Space" to your maprotation.cfg (or other depending on mod)
6. (re)start server
7. play and have fun!

Note: Axis team is attacking, Allies are Defending.

Axis Objectives:
- Axis will spawn in their attack ship, and need to destroy the East and West Energy crystal to open the portal
- Once the portal is open, axis will spawn in front of it. Now they need to destroy the Door to the power crystal
- Additionally the Axis team can destroy the Side wall to get a extra route trough the sewer to get to the door.
- Once the door has been blown. they way is open to destroy the Power crystal.
- Additionally the Axis team can try to build the neutral command post.
- Additionally the Axis team must blow up the power crystal defenses.


Allied Objectives:
- Allies need to prevent the Axis team from opening the portal, by preventing the East and West energy crystal getting blown up.
- Additionally the Allied team can construct the protection MG on the main deck.
- if the Axis succeed opening the portal, the Allies must prevent the Door to the power crystal to be blown up.
- If the Axis team sill is able to succeed, the allies must prevent at all cost that the power crystal gets destroyed.
- Additionally the Allied team can build a command post.
- Additionally the Allied team can build power crystal defenses to slow down the axis attackers.

GODDAMN! This map just owned my map. Amazing.

But I just wanted to point out, it looks… empty. It just looks too opened. Maybe some boxes and crates or something added in there. But that’s just my opinion, I like a closed map with lots of extras, some like open maps with lots of shooting room (:

i really see it as a good comment
what i wanted to do was make a map that was different than again the 923th desert or snow map.
thats why there are hardly any original textures, all custom sounds (yea me and my micro), custom limbo, and so on :slight_smile:

plus, maybe nice to know that almost all textures are high quality ones (512x512)

WOW, amizing work dude, it makes me think of a preatoria map, such nice shaders, view, textures, all!!

Just like Darkix said, it indeed a bit emtpy, maybe a falling meteroriet ( stone out of space :p) would cheer things up :slight_smile:

And the terrain is a bit, what should i say, straight, i know it has hills, but it just seems so unnatural to me…

Map looks interesting and cool. Though I hope you can keep an eye on the pk3 file size (with high quality texs, custom sounds … etc).

It would be sad to see people not running it due to the size of the pk3

did you thought i was somone else, like the thread you posted on earlyer about remaking stockmaps ? cuz i dont do that kind of stuff, wich, you could have know looking at the other maps i did =)

and i asked this because you already took prefabs in a map you released. in that artic gun there was like 60 % prefabs. so just understand that i dont trust your work anymore.

My only criticism would be why are the space maps always blue and dark. All the corridors and rooms look the same. If I had to be on that ship I would feel sick without some sunlight or some balance between warm and cool lights. Not to mention the fact that in that kind of lighting, everyone looks the same. Hard to tell friend from foe. Just saying a little variety would be nice, and it would also help players learn the map when they can associate different lighting with different areas on the map.

That’s one of the main reasons I built Praetoria 1 with color coded stairs in the bunker. Helps players learn where they are even if it is a star warsy look.

Wouldn’t mind seeing some more windows either. Feels more like you are underground without that star reference.

and yea i know the Artic gun, i was till newbing at that time in the mapmaking scene =)
but i though by al_abbasi i already made up for that mistake just a bit :wink:

anyway,

i thing i will do the following steps now, is to first get the omnibots done (0.71 script + waypoints) and then i will put out a alpha version of my map.
Ater all, i thing you can give me even better comments on that, than just a bunch of screenshots.
Than with the comments on that alpha, i can work on the final some better :slight_smile:

Ignore aaa4. Your maps are good, even if you use prefabs on them. Just because you do something to save a bit of time, doesn’t mean it’s complete ****.

I mean absolutely no disrespect when I say this, but really, no.

That being said, it looks like a very interesting map, though it will need some variation. The thing I’ve always wondered in maps, is why people are afraid to play with lights. Try throwing in a green light instead of yellow, and you will see that it gets much more interesting. Especially with a setting like this.

I’m not talking about lights… i’m talking about the nice shaders, and preatoria maps also have nice shaders i mean…:rolleyes:

no. its ok to use prefabs, no problem with that. but you humiliate yourself from developer point of view.

in such a case just deliver what you have puzzled and leave the forums with your cr*p stuff. taking the credits OR EVEN THINK YOU ARE SKILLED will just make me show up and troll all you fake guys.

and i can get really umcomftable in such a case, if i see a world which is so bad because of all these people beeing fake, because others are fake, and they think that beeing fake is the only way to come around in this fake world. they copy the lifestyle of others and even transfer it into mapping by copying, faking, whole maps, and then trying to justify themselves with even more lies and meanwhile taking honor and respect and most of the people are so extremely brainless, they appreciate and even honor this person, as if he would be some kind of god. and this is no longer about mapping, this is about lifestyle and YOU WILL BE EDUCATED BY ME IF YOU ARE FAKE.

and if you take the work of others, dont open a thread and write in the readme really big that you based your work on others. not talking about maps, talking about developers, in this forum there are too many people having no ideas and on top of that crediting themselves with others peoples work or doing all to make it look like they have done a tremendous amount of work. you really dont know what work is, what it takes to create a map on your own, with own layout, own ideas, where fakefactor is below 0.2.

Who said he, or anyone else, took credits for prefabs? It’s called a readme in the pk3 file, have you ever opened one up and read it? Doubt it.

So a couple people using prefabs makes the world bad? We’re not ‘fake’ if we use prefabs, it’s like taking a detour through traffic, does that make them bad drivers? I still have yet to see someone who’s stolen an entire map and made it public. I will be educated by you, who the hell are you? Have you actually ever even made as much as a single brush?

The whole idea of a readme is where you credit people who’ve helped you or you’ve taken their work with their permission, I suggest you, again, go read one. Do you actually know what it takes? You show up and flame, that’s all. And what the **** is a fakefactor?

No more feeding the troll.
