Map "Karsiah"

Hi!
I want to submit my new map here:

Mapname: Karsiah
Timelimit: 25min
Defending Team: Axis
Axis Respawntime: 20s
Allied Respawntime: 15s

Objectives:
Allies:
1)Capture Old City.
2)Destroy Old City Door.
3)Steal South and North Documents
4) Transmit them
Axis need to stop the Allies…

fps are fixed (atleast for me - 125 constant on the map [1 area with drops to 90-100 :/])

as mentioned in the other ldthread: axis need a sound like :“allies captured the flag”

nice map - looking forward to our next et-cup with the map in the pool!

nenquel released just a few minutes ago a _te version of his beatiful map :wink:

changes since b4:

  • 2nd flagentrance
  • two more exits for axis last spawnpoint
  • some palms/window/woodstuff removed=>great FPS improvement!
  • maptime: 15 mins
  • spawntimes allies=20 axis=30
  • sounds working

so true :stuck_out_tongue: but it’s not that easy … my map hasn’t best layout for fps ^^ after making some changes i got around 30more fps now… should be ok after another 10-20 for final :stuck_out_tongue:

nice map though … don’t like it for competition really but still ist cool =)

a bit late, but your map needs caulking instead of ‘no-texture’. it could greatly improve that poor fps.

great work anyway, i enjoy oasis-like maps.

it looks good, but what really would make it look nice is some terrain
blending instead of the same sand everywhere… like if you blended in
some sand_patchnoise around the edges here and there where it meets
the wall…

but overall it looks good.

Have you fixed the fps problems for older machines yet? I remember on te2
that when you had drawtris on it was drawing pretty much the whole map at once.

At the moment I cant do anything at it…
My own pc just broke down…

I also thought of some blending… I think I’ll do some when i can go back to work ^^
And I will fix the fps problems soon ^^
Got some trouble with vis stuff, cause it was my first “real” map…

Have been doing only little stuff for friends before and there i hadn’t to do any vis…

But there will be a new version coming!
