It’s looking very promising indeed. I spot a lot of new textures in the second set of shots, is cool to see mappers taking the time to make additional textures to give the level a different look.
I think there’s some quite interesting ideas you can start to do with the gameplay of the map, (it was something we’d made test maps for) is to have planes flying overhead knocking out bits of buildings, maybe clearing barriers etc. It would certainly add a bit of dynamism to the level.
I notice that one of the skins on the jagdpanther tank doesn’t have a temperate skin version for it; I think it’s still using the desert version. This is our fault because we didn’t release one; the model in Radar has the same problem. If there are any future patches I’ll see if I can stick one in there.
Do you plan to have any of the stereotypical burning fires dotted around? I’m not sure if it needs it, it really depends how recent the ruins are.
In a similar way we did the lightening effect in Radar, it might be a nice touch to have that kind of ambience happening in the sky box, distant bomb drops illuminating the sky etc, maybe tied to some audio?
Anyhow it’s looking good so far, so keep posting shots
