map: AA-Guns

Hi all i was brainstorming for a new map and i want to know what you think of it. So, feel free to say what you want about my new idea!

The map:

the red area will be removed and the yellow box will be placed to the place where the cursors go to.

wether: sunny or rain
theme: jungle

The objective:

  • escort the tank to the wall.
  • blow the wall
  • escort the tank to the bunker -> tank blow the bunker -> axis lose the spawnpoint and allies own the spawnpoint
  • bring the 2 dynamites (dynamites are inside the bunker) at the 2 anti-aiplane-guns and blow the anti-airplane-guns.
  • allies win

i like it, do it like supplydepot wich is a very well balanced map and maybe this can be a good competition map.

i would remove that axis spawn from that pink thing and make the spawn a bit closer where allies starts and where the pink thing is make a neutral CP where allies can spawn if constructed but axis cant.

Also dont forget to place some places to hid like walls and rocks : )

edit: didn’t noticed the tank, i think its not a good idea to keep the tank because it will be arty-spammed until u get there and if allies die axis can camp on the tank and theres only one way to get there so its easy for axis to block the allies.

i would make allies spawn in the place where the tank has to blow (and remove tank and 1st spawn) and make axis spawn in some kind of bunker near the gate(and remove the axis spawn in the pink thing like i said before) but its up to u :slight_smile:

the fist part seems too long (with the moving tank)… and the hint walls… i hope that u will be able to place them effective :roll:

ik have changed the spawnpoint. but i was forget to set it in the picture.

Objectives look ok.

You might want to reconsider the layout of the AA guns (I’m assuming thats what those icons are), keeping in mind the routes the attackers and defenders will have to go to get to them.

Also you might want to consider putting the flag on the other side of the wall, or a tunnel out, so allies can actually attack the flag. That possibility would make it much more interesting imo.

The lines you’ve marked as hint walls… if you mean hints as in for vis, they aren’t very well placed. You will need to reconsider them. Search around for vis optimization tutorials. I know theres a lot of good ones posted on this forum.

  • because if somebody don’t want to say something he can simply vote on it. and so i can get more commands and know what to do :smiley:

maybe is it a good idea to make more ways to get near the guns?

and more ways to the flag.

You should have 2/3 ways to reach the guns, like 1 main gate and 1/2 side entrances(dynamitable) imo.

wezelkrozum, you should complete the important things like buildings etc., I understand if you gonna finish this scheme after some people advices. Now it might be hard for both teams with such an empty area.

I can’t help you with a couple of helpful words, IMO it’s your private responsibility and joy to “imagine” everything, later asking for different methods of help. Really :evil:

Think about teams chances and possibilites [main/side way, also for ex. things where the players may hide]. Hope you’ll be fine with everything to be done, terrain & tunnels. Good Luck :wink:

agreed it seems empty… i dont suggest jungle theme, you risk severe fps issues like on radar. however its your choice.

mhh the first part looks hard, only 1 way in… maybe u could do so when u press a button the bunker gets total overbombed :evil:
