Get EasyGen, its the most easy access to making terrain, and there are a lot of tutorials for that program out there too.

look here for the 4 links about making terrain:
http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/tramdesign/resources.html
I recommend the toutorial of Tanya Cheex, its step by step and very helpful. In any way I suggest u do your terrain by heightmap (read the tutorial for how to do it).

Here is the HP of easygen:

You will also need the templates.

EasyGen works fine without the templates if you use Q3map2 and not standard for me… in fact i wouldn’t know what they are likely to improve  i installed them but it works just fine when I use Q3map2.
In any case its most likely that the shader will be fucked up, but then you only need to check whether its using the right paths for the terrain-textures (which it often doesn’t) but you can correct that very easy with search and replace in the textfile of the shader.

:frowning:

Tru$t you may wanna check out this tutorial.
Its helped me a lot, its based on RtCW but its basically the same principal as ET.
http://www.wolfensteinx.com/surface/tutorials.html
Its a compilation of tutorials concerning most basic topics of map making.

yeah i see:S i cant get the textures:S
can u explain??
and uuhm…im gettin a little bit crazy of sitting the whole day after my com and i forgot how 2 get the .bsp file of youre map i allready did: file/save as/kamp
and if i go to my map only the .map file is there and not the .bak .bsp etc:S
please help
thx Tru$T

The bak file should be saved automatically.
To get the bsp file you have to compile the map file (GTKRadiant bsp-menu).
At beginning just take BSP -meta.
