@Steve_HarveyYou’re completely disregarding the fact that the Crafting system is made to be stingy so that players spend real money.
All of these copy-paste Credit drain events over the past few months, as well as the new Daily Reward system is all one big scheme to reduce Credit numbers and incentivise spending real money on crafting micro-transactions
Daily Reward, seems pretty much the same value than the past daily bonuses we had. At least for me who rarely played obj or exe even for the bonus. Considering a lead could be valued slightly below 1000 credits, the daily reward is not to shabby in my view, considering that every case excluding the MK1 case is better than a standard crate.

Pretty much this. Unfortunately, for me, it does the opposite. It makes me want to quit the game because you can see their heading down the path of no return… Nexon, Aeria Games, nearly every “F2P” game out there. Personally, I’d be more inclined to purchase items for real cash, well more of them, if they were cheaper and the rewards were better. I mean, 10 Elite Cases + 2 Guaranteed Special Edition cases for $35? That’s ridiculous. It’s just RNG on top of RNG. No one wants that. It doesn’t even make me wanna gamble because the odds are so bad and a win doesn’t even feel like a win because the reward isn’t worth much.
Anyways, I feel like the whole system could definitely use a major revamp. We’ve been waiting over a year for a crafting system fix and haven’t received anything other than “crafting weeks.” We also need the old daily reward system back or at least a better one than what we have now… But I’m sensing the greed.
They do need to drain the credits of people who barely cares about crafting. The biggest flaw of the current crafting system is that if you’re not interested in it at all, you don’t spend shit in it no matter what.
In the past, the only way to make to make your inventory tidy was to actually craft new cards with duplicates and if you were lucky enough, you craft a better rarity one you did not have and rinse and repeat.
Right now I simply dump every single duplicate card (or lower rarity of a said loadout) in the recycle field and that’s all. I sit on substantial amount of fragments and roughly 250 loadouts because I collect and only recycle if I have duplicates or lower rarity appearing in my inventory. But this is always growing and I only use my wallet when a new merc appear.
Prior to the beginning of season 3, I was seating on a confortable 400k+ credits, but they released obsidian auras, turtle and javelin. Plus my available playtime reduced significantly. Now I am self sustaining, buying new mercs at release and buying few loadouts for each.
So it basically did the trick, but, for how long ? As soon as they stop the new merc flow, I’ll stack once again.
I’d definitely use my fragments on weapon kits rather than stacking for cobalt. Carbon silver is my favorite color scheme. So I’d rather have my inventory pretty much full of it than having 5 desperate cobalts I never use.
And there are absolutely no reason at all to spend any dime on this game right now, except supporting the devs. Obsidian skins are not this fancy to be honest, they look less exclusive than founder ones and melt probably too well to the original to be even noticeable. They still hooked 3 or 4 players in my community out of 15 regular players, so good job SD.
