Make the objective more obvious

I still see the majority of people not realising what the actual objective is, obviously we can see the yellow hexagon shape through the walls but i think it should include some text with it so it’s more clear, like plant bomb here etc. Maybe also having some text in the right hand corner of the players screen telling them what the objective is, anything that will make it blatantly obvious as to what they need to be doing.

Have you tried talking to your team and telling them what the objective is? If visual clues aren’t working then they obviously need something different. There are also audio cues from the announcer telling them to do things, as well as the opening video that plays at the start of the match. It is possible they just don’t want to play the objective at all. Plenty of people just want to frag and not worry about it.

I am assuming you are in casual matches. Have you thought about trying competitive?

The problem is not the obvious messaging. It could be written in red with level 30 size font in the middle of the screen, most people would still just go for the kills and play team death match.

The issue you’re trying to solve is a community issue, not the developers’ fault.

Pretty much what Ardez said. Most of the time when people are off doing anything but the objective, all I’ve needed to do has been to say something like “come escort the ev”, “let’s plant the c4” or something like that. I assume that in the point after that if people won’t do anything, they just don’t care and it’s not really up to how clear the objective is

I’m almost certain people think the side objective is the main objective on underground last.

Well damn the game game is no fun to me with no one playing objective, pretty sure i’m not the only one that feels like that, that would explain why i keep seeing less high level guys and more and more people under level 10. Seems to me people quit playing when they realise what’s really going on. I’ve got 350 hours in this game took a break for a while to come back and see people still not playing objective, vicious circle i guess.

“Deliver” objectives (Bridge, Chapel) really need to be more obvious! There are two canisters and two slots. Each slot can only be used once. Players sometimes approach the wrong slot and get killed! I’ve done that, too.

How do I beat the primary objective without this “secondary” objective? You have to take it down one way or another and new people dont get it way too often. But you know that as good as I do.

For the defenders, I don’t see the barricade as a primary objective. And continuous use of Skyhammer, Kira and Arty in a controlled rotation can do the same work at stopping the EV just as it does on Chapel.

Now I must agree though, that from an attacker’s perspective, once the barricade is up, it becomes a primary objective. Maybe in that case, it should be put forward as a primary objective.

Plus, with the Containment War Update the devs are highlighting the obj in full yellow to make it WAY more obvious.

Some way of communicating that you can shoot generators directly would be nice.

Do fire support abilities work on generators ?? I hardly ever play fire support, but I would probably see the bridge generator on Chapel destroyed by now.

I really believe there should be an either forced tutorial, or tutorial which would give credits if gone through. Also, the current tutorial should be reworked to include long jumps, wall jumps and other specifics, such as generators suffering from damage, just like the EV.

As others have said. You can be beating them in the head with the objective and they’ll still not realize there is one. Hell, till they removed it so many people were just play TDM because that’s all they care about (and so many going with them because that was the only match anyone was playing).

Ok so as beta testers we can easily conclude that people don’t want to play the objective, so maybe we need modes people actually want to play
