the same goes for medic calls. the voices of v21 and v22 are just way too quiet, nobody hears that and nobody pays attention to the chat or symbols.
even better than the ammo symbol would be a text above my head saying NEEDS AMMO/ NEEDS MEDIC.
I don’t see myself in the situation often where a medic ignores me. Sure, you have a scrub every so often who looks at you and wanders away, or a helping-up Sparks (seriously, REVIVR isn’t explicit enough), but the actual health-pack dropping works fine.
Sawbonez players don’t know about the bonus for direct hit, they drop it (intentionally!) next to me very often, that needs ingame hints.
Also, Aura’s station could use a marker, it’s often hard to find it if it’s hidden and the groudn effect doesn’t properly work.
Skyhammer is damn close to assault though, especially indoors. The marker isn’t nearly as effective as a proper grenade, but it flushes them out or damages them enough to turn the tides.
Generally yes, it would be great if they automatically dropped ammo, but then you would have to ask the fourth Vassili if he really thinks that this is going to help, and the bushwhackers if defusing/planting C4 and repairing wouldn’t hurt their camping-fun too much.
Yes, Skyhammer is very close to being an assault merc and so is Stoker. However, they both have a duty that goes beyond killing a bunch of dudes and that is what people who play these mercs need to realize. Same goes for Phoenix being closer to an assault than the other medics because of his easy to use self-heal and self-revive. But that doesn’t mean he gets to run around not healing teammates just because he can act like a tank. In short, people are noobs… They need to stop being noobs… That is all.
