main menu lags

(surprisingShellfish) #1

Hey there, just got access to the game and the main menu and videos are laggy as hell … 1-2 secs delay if you select anything. Gameplay itself is smooth np played about 1 hr online but as soon as i get back to the menus the lag starts again. Any fix for this ? I`ve read on steam forums of some ppl with the same issue but no fix there :[

something about forced v sync while in menu was what i heard

Menu doesn’t lag for me, but the server browser is so laggy and sluggish it’s insane.

borderless window does the trick … no more input lag in the menu

I have the same problem, and even though my shadowplay fps counter is at 144, it feels more like 2fps, with heavy delay.
I’ll try borderless windowed mode later, but I really prefer full screen mode.

Haven’t experienced it myself, but witnessed it on a guy’s stream when he was trying to game for the first time. In-game it was smooth like butter though.

i use 1920x1080 borderless its same as fullscreen but without the delay

Do you have a G-SYNC monitor ? As I posted in the technical issue forum the problem is caused by v-sync being forced in the menus which is problematic with gsync.
Borderless window solves the problem because gsync doesn’t work in that mode, but that’s not a real solution.

yes i have a GSync monitor but turning it off for dirty bomb doesnt solve the input lag :[

Any solution for G-sync on the main menu? is there a way to disable v-sync inside the .ini?

(fantasticVault) #11

I did that and normal window and it still lags. I can not find the solution for this.

I put v sync on and borderless window then restarted my game and there wasn’t a lot a delay
