Lowering in-game resolution below 800x600 and 400x300 being the lowest possible resolution.

I found a way to lower your in-game resolution below 800x600.

Now to do this you must set your pc’s resolution to 640x480 by right click>screen resolution>advanced settings>list all modes>640 by 480 then click apply after that run dirty bomb and go to the in-game settings and you get new choices of low resolutions.

Note : Increase the hud’s resolution or the game’s hud placement will be a mess

if you are done playing dirty bomb just right click then choose screen resolution and choose the resolution that you’ve been using before 640x480 for your pc

one more note : lowering resolution below 640x480 in game will cause the main menu not to show certain things such as the in-game settings button and to deal with that just click tab until you see it and it’s highlighted then press enter or click on it

Also a messsage to the devs.
This will not make you see through walls it just straight up reduces resolution for better fps

You can do it easier by modifying ScreenPercentage in ShooterEngine.ini. This only changes the target rendering resolution in-game. Despite what the name suggest it will still render on whole screen, not just a part of it. In-game HUD is rendered at full resolution so there’s no need to fiddle with it. So for example you can have menus, HUD etc all at 1920x1080, but with ScreenPercentage = 50 the game will render in 960x540. You can go lower but then things get a bit blurry.

But why would you play on such small resolution .-.

If you need that res to save your frames I am sorry to say you need to spend some dollars.
But good to know.

Lowering res the way I did will mess up the hud placement which is why I stated to increase the hud’s resolution.

I also tested the way the game looks like with 100% screen percentage with a resolution of 400x300 the game was just as clear as any resolution with 100% screen percentage execpt with higher fps

How do you even seen this on your screen? My broken laptop from 8 years ago uses a screen resolution that would make 400x300 less than 1/4 screen size.

Seriously even tablet PCs are cheap and graphically powerful enough to handle a res above 800x600

I think I used a settings from intel hd graphics control panel that makes any resolution
full screen but the lower the resolution is the more bulky the screen looks.

Right now I’m playing with a fps config, lowest possible settings, 800x600 resoultion, and a 40% screen percentage.

It looks just fine to me and I can play just fine with 60 fps on my 4400 HD graphics intel GPU laptop.

400 x 300? Hell yes! I’ve always wanted to play Dirty Bomb on my Nintendo GameBoy Advanced!
