I’ve played RAD Soldiers a couple of weeks now, and altough an awesome game, I can’t help too feel frustrated over the general lag in the game. I’ve searched the forum for others complaining about this but they’re either shy or make do (or are non-existent). The weird part is that in the actual gameplay, with several 3D-models, textures and animations, the game rarely lags, if at all. But when I’m in the menus, man is it a lag-vaganza. And I have a hard time seeing why I would trade laggy performance for flashy menus.
So my simple (at least from where I’m standing) suggestion is that you include a low performance-option (you can even call it a battery saving-option for good measure), that could turn of the animations in the menus (it seems like they’re the biggest culprit), and maybe reduce texture resolution or model detail or something else performance chewing in the game itself.
I really hope you would implement something like this in the near future so that awesome gameplay won’t be held back by choppy frame-rate.
