Low Ingame FPS

(Bloopur) #1

After taking a week-long break from Dirty Bomb to go out of town, I’ve returned to a large difference in my FPS ingame. Previously, I’d been able to average about 100+ fps easily, going to down to 90 fps, and at the ABSOLUTE worst of times 70 fps for less than a second. Now, I’m averaging about 65 fps, frequently dropping in combat to 35-45 fps. When in the tutorial, I can manage to get up to 80 fps while walking around slowly without shooting.

I’m using an Intel I7 2600k CPU, AMD Radeon 7950, 16 GB of Ram, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I JUST recently updated to the latest driver, 15.7.1, after getting home before playing. Not sure if that update makes a large difference or not.

Sidenote: First post on forums after over 150 hours playing on steam! I’m finally breaking into the real forums! Woohoo!

Hi, a patch come out lately and people got issue with their cfg. So delet it and use a new one.
And i really suggest you to not use an up to date nvidia driver. More recent he is, worste maybe your game experience be. For instance like quite a few others, i use 347.88 drivers.

If it doesn’t help, reinstall your game but i don’t think you will have to.
Have a nice day.

I just said above I use AMD, not Nvidia …

My issue has been resolved since yesterday when I installed a half terabyte SSD on my computer and put Dirty Bomb on that. Been running like a dream ever since :stuck_out_tongue: So thanks, I had a GREAT day
