Lost connection to server: trying to reconnect

(Ap3x) #1

Hi everyone,

I only recently started playing Dirty Bomb and I really liked the game. However I keep having trouble with this message that pops up very, very often saying “lost connection: trying to reconnect”. The letters are over the middle of the screen, they appear right after I’ve played a match or sometimes even during a match. I have not once been able to stay in a lobby after a single match. It ALWAYS comes up after I’ve played a single game.

I would really like to play this game more and properly invest some time into it, but I don’t know how to solve this problem I have been having. None of my friends playing the game have the same issue.

I would like to point out that my firewall is set to allow Dirty Bomb to run normaly and I tried playing the game with the firewall off and the error still came up.

I should also point out that my internet upload speed is only 0.2 Mbps. However, I am able to play games like Counter Strike: Global offensive, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Blacklight: Retribution without any trouble. I have also disabled my voice input through Dirty Bomb’s settings thus limiting the toll on my upload speed. Could it be that Dirty Bomb requires a lot more upload than other FPS games?

I am currently running my machine on Windows 10.

If you have any suggestions or solutions, I would love to hear them.

Thank you very much for your help!

This is most likely because you are on windows 10. Please contact customer support they should be able to help you with what to do.

I submitted a ticket, I was asked to send screenshots of the error, which I have done but sadly I got no answer after that…it has been a couple of days now.

Just wanted to add that I have gotten a reply and I provided extra evidence of the error. I’ve been assured that the issue is currently being worked on. I have noticed a few more people posting about the same problem, so I thought I’d give an update on whats going on so far.
The issue is not resolved, but they are better acquainted with the problem and its being worked on.

I was ok yesterday but getting disconnects today. Not sure what is going on but do you think users with Win10 are all affected or is it some machine specific problem?

Granted i have some problems on ISP side but today was not the case i checked.

Honestly, I am completely at a loss with this issue. Several reinstalls of the game later and there have been no changes.

As far as I was able to tell from other people complaining about the issue, it doesn’t seem to be a windows 10 problem only. But hey, what do I know.

At least I can say that I was able to contact a GM and he was incredibly kind and seemed involved into solving the issue. I’m sure I’ll get a response once they’ve managed to figure something out.

They requested some additional info on the error and, luckily, I was able to supply it in the form of screenshots and such.

I haven’t seen a lot of people having the problem though. Either everyone is too shy to post something here or everyone creates their own thread with the same problem and I haven’t exactly read ALL of the threads on here.

In any case, we just need to be patient.
