Looking for tutorial making textures with the gimp

Id like to make my own textures but I dont know how.
Can someone please write a texture tutorial using the gimp?
or if someone already has done this can you please give me a link?

As far as I know, this is an ET level designers forum.
Texturing is part of it, making textures however can be found much better explained on other forums.
See the GIMP Tutorials to know how to get started with the GIMP.

It’s basicly the same as any other texture program. Just make an image using any tutorial on the web where the width and height of your image are powers of 2 and save it as a .jpeg or .tga to use it in ET. (Now that’s another topic if it won’t work, use the ‘search’ button or see the huge Sticky: TUTORIALS AND ET MAPPING RESOURCES)
