Looking for Help!

(potty200) #1

As some of you are aware, Seanza is currently away and busy with Adroits/Starcraft. So it leaves me on my own!

Looking for a few things right now to keep competition in DB alive, as it has fallen quite over the last few weeks. If you are interested please post below or PM me asap!

Recorder:

  • Looking for someone who is able to record DB in at least 720p. With Teamspeak communications running for Shoutcasting.
  • Reliable and will show up when agreed.
  • Make sure the person is able to upload the files for badman after the match.
  • You are welcome to cast as well, we have had problems with the recorder guy picking up his own mic as well as other windows sound.
    - To locally record the demos, at no point should you upload them on any website other than to badman!!!

Casters:

  • English speakers only! I can’t cast with someone who is unable to speak English!
  • Decent quality microphone, unlike my old one which makes me sound like a 13 year old.
  • Doesn’t matter if you have experience or not, you can learn alongside me, mustang, MrFunk and Chippy! We aim to have 3 casters on at any one time so don’t be scared about being left alone.

The most essential part is someone who is able to record the matches. We have a few people who can cast but are always looking for new faces  As soon as we get someone who can record I will start getting matches streamed again.

Thanks <3

I’m always happy to get involved, just didn’t want to be stealing anyone’s limelight.

(potty200) #3

Are you able to do some recording tests with me this weekend at some point?

(Wezelkrozum) #4

I’m also happy to get involved. But I don’t want to steal Mustangs limelight right now  I could be your backup if needed.

(potty200) #5

The more the merrier! No one is taking limelight from anyone. We are all try to achieve the same thing part of this team. If you wanna test recording out and stuff please do so. Make sure it looks nice, sound is good and that you can record peoples voices at the same time off of teamspeak!

(Nail) #6

what’s required for recording ?

(Mustang) #7

I’m working all day Saturday and afternoon Sunday again, also planning on going Godiva Festival at some point.

But should be around late Saturday and Sunday 9pm or so onwards.

Did some test recordings tonight and it seems to be working pretty nicely.

If you want to know what software or hardware is required here’s the list:

Recording with use of the software e.g. bandicam, dxtory, fraps, xsplit, obs.

Recording with use of the hardware e.g. avermedia live gamer hd, blackmagic.

(RasteRayzeR) #9

I might be able to record some matchs, but we need to test it, since I’ve never done it before.

I’m gonna see what I can do, can’t promise anything though:stroggtapir:

(Volcano) #10

i found bandicam works best for db doesnt cause fps issues unlike dxtory and obs

(Mustang) #11

No fps issues with obs for me.

(RasteRayzeR) #12

I’m making some hdd space, how much do I need to record ?

(Mustang) #13

I think each match is 3GB for me.

Although I got 10TB+ so it’s not such a big deal to find some space.

(RasteRayzeR) #14

With fraps I seem to get 4GB for 2:30 minutes, 50GB for a match roughly …

I use full screen resolution (1680x1050), 30 fps caps

I have like 500 GB available, and the quality is incredible ! Gonna make a test with compression, and upload to youtube as unlisted, ofc

There are 2 downsides if I’m going to use Fraps.

  1. Huge filesizes because of no compression
  2. I find it hard to find a right compression mode

So therefore I’m just using Bandicam. Great quality and great efficiency. I get the same results as Mustang 3GB/20min.

(RasteRayzeR) #16

soooo, we are at least 3 who can record matchs ?

With x264 compression i get like 85 Mo per minute, so 2GB for 20 minutes of movie. Quality is good,

I’m gonna try Bandicam too, to check the quality. Meanwhile here is a sample of 2:30 minutes (200mo) recorded with fraps, what do you think of it ?

Right guys, Seems we have casters and recorders ready to get things rolling again. Going to try get 2 teams who can play next Tuesday. If you can cast/record on Tuesday please let me know!

If you are a team wanting to play, message me

(Rex) #18

I would like to help recording, though the only thing which hold me back at first is the fact that my slow connection will need a while to upload it all.
Nevertheless I would like to do a test for the right mixing of caster voice and ingame sounds, if you got a free spectator slot for me.

(MrFunkyFunk) #19

Ofc!
It was a bit crowded yesterday but I think the others would like to see the Private servers get 16 slots just to allow more spectators.
The more the merrier (when it doesn’t affect server performances).

(Rex) #20

I will ask for that.
