I think that there should be a greater long defense bonus for players that have larger kill streaks and whatnot. Like, 6 KS = +10 XP, 8 KS = +25 XP, 10 KS = +50 XP, 15 KS = +100 XP.

holding a line long enough mean either you killed many of the enemies or the enemies are too coward, either way provides Exp in pretty good amount imo. No need for more exp.
I mean, the purpose of this bonus is to make Objective Specialists on defense more able to earn objective XP than defensive Medics/Recons assuming that their abilities are defensive in nature.
Also, supports earn so much more XP compared to Objective Specialists.

So is this proposed buff only intended for objective mode then? As far as I know objective specialists in stopwatch have an opportunity to attack & defend for game mode exp. I would expect that the engineers get more game mode exp than all of the other classes as well except on capture or deliver objectives. In those situations both the attacking and defending specialists will primarily get combat xp unless they are doing the objective.
Also, your proposal would impact all characters, not just engineers. The difference in XP gain that you noted as your purpose for this change wouldn’t be any different.

Any underperforming objective specialist will gain a similar amount of objective XP in either Objective or Stopwatch mode.

If it’s about Kill Streaks, the game rewards are sufficient, Rampage, Unstoppable, Godlike.
What needs to be added in the obj spec rewards list is a Demolitionist award for detonating 3 or more C4 explosives

I personally think the XP is fine. Players who get large killstreaks are generally above average anyways, meaning they’ll probably already have plenty of XP. And to a player like that, 100 XP is nothing

I occasionally just stab it with my knife if it’s at low health. It works slowly, but it decreases your accuracy sadly. And I’m quite conscious about my accuracy for some dumb reason.
