Locking doors.

(Jeffrey13) #1

I was under the impression that target_lock entitys toggle a door between locked/unlocked, i have it targetted so when the allies press a func_button, they activate the lock, which unlocks a set of doors. Now, this works. But the axis are supposed to be able to use the same button to lock the doors again, but when they press the button - It doesn’t relock the doors.

How do i fix them to be re-lockable?

I always found target_lock too much fiddling to be worth the hassle, so maybe you’d want to look at scripting doors using func_movers (cursor icons can be added using a func_invisible_user).

Tutorials of this should be readily available.

As the tutorials i’ve used (2bit, the manual that comes with radiant, etc) don’t have anything on it, mind giving me a link to point me in the right direction?

I’m also searching through the forums right now - But all of the links i’ve stumbled upon are dead.

The best I can retrieve at the moment are EB’s tutorial maps: http://www.spyjuice.com/tutorials_et.html

Just download a pk3, play it and open the pk3 with a ZIP tool to get the map’s source for studying.
