Lobby up for Casual Games

Alright its not exactly a feedback on maps but general mechanics so ill just put this here

Guys I cant even say how annoying it is to not be able to lobby up for casual games. me and my mates are not able to play together unless one of us server browsers and by some stroke of luck the rest of us manage to join before the game fills up or the join system arbitrarily decides the game is full despite there still being like 5 player spots.

If there is already a party up system for ranked matches (which is a seperate rant for how horrible ranked matching is) why cant it be expanded for casual?

Full ACK.

I want to party up with one of my friends and then just hit quickjoin and go, rather than finding a half way empty server, join, hope he can get in, then play around against one another until one of us can switch, only to be seperated again when the round ends and we get shuffled. Not very supportive of social casual gaming. If that would see addressing, that would be great.

PS: We are missing a “Other Feedback” section.

Totally agree, one time when I was playing with my friend I had to wait 5-10mins before getting in to the game only because my friend left the server.

Full agree with all posts above. I want to play on the same side as my real life mates, and the current system makes this a real struggle. I believe there is a ‘friends’ list in the game. Perhaps if the matchmaking system sees this, it ensures that ‘friends’ are on the same side (attackers or defenders), except where it absolutely can’t i.e. you have 50 friends and they’re all playing a match together.

While yes, it’d be convienient there is room for abusing such system. I frequently play with at least 1 mate, often 4 and we occasionally find hard time joining the same server, so this is not coming from a loner with hatred and envy against groups.

Edge of having people used to play with each other able to come up with strats in a fly-by is quite big advantage specifically in low- and freeforall-levels public games. Even group of 3 organized people can very often result in a huge carry in 6on6 game. Pub is somewhat meant to be chaos, testing out silly stuff, everything not going as “planned”.

From carry to steamrolling to ragequits on opposite team to emptying servers. Pre-mades are quite double-edged sword in pubs. It could be executed, but only so that they won’t be on the same team if there’s more than 3 of them. I can’t count the times I’ve switched team to at least seemingly cease the steamroll we’re causing resulting in quits.

I might sound like exaggerating the issue, but I see pre-making groups that would get on the same team would just result in more pubstomp which is extremely harmful in the long run. In the end of the day, what wouldn’t be more fun than smashing your best friends buttocks full of high-velocity rounds of pain and shame? So yay for premades getting on same server, nay for them being automatically on same team.
