This bug used to be better, but the recent update to fix it has made it worse. It used to be that when joining a server in the middle of a game it would show the wrong map, but the recent update has made it worse.
The current bug is if there are two maps with the same number of votes in the lobby, a random one will be highlighted, even though the top one is actually selected. The map selection highlighting appears to work fine if one map has more votes than all the others.
