Well personally I think everyone should have everything from the moment they start playing but that’s just me.
Loadouts need to either be completely random or have the garbage loadouts removed.
It was alredy mentioned somewhere, but they could just assing values to cards and weapons/perks, so that player would be forced to chose what he really wannts and what hes willing to sacrifice.
So good perk could cost 3 points, while crappy one would cost one 1. With limits to card level and selection, so that player with tier 3 and up card would have to select all 3 perks, instead of going with just 2 good ones.
I have a feeling we would see a lot of bronze+ people with only 2 augments.
Also augments would need to be scored individually for each merc, for example Chopper on Phantom vs Chopper on Vasili.
This post does not mean that i’m behind this idea, just chiming in.
Imagine Drilled, 10% AoE, Unshakable on the Fragger loadout with the K121…, that would make me so happy.
I guarantee they did think pretty carefully about which combinations of loadouts they would allow. I also agree that they way they slammed good perks with shit ones to “balance” it was quite lazy and honestly for most mercs there are only maybe 3 or 4 viable loadouts out of 7.
If they really want to make something unique that is a LoL FPS they really need to improve the loadout customization. The addicting part of DOTA games is pondering endlessly and debating endlessly about team composition and item composition
I’ve probably used the same loadouts since about the first month and that just gets boring…
