Loadout Economy Crafting Week

I figure I might as well post this on the official forums too (my original post was on Reddit):

Another event is upon us, so here’s another spreadsheet.
[] Cost of Bronze, Silver and Gold dropped by ~19%.
[
] Cost of Cobalt dropped by 25%.
[] “Trade in”(/re-roll) cost of Bronze, Silver and Gold dropped by ~50-60%.
[
] “Trade in” cost of Cobalt dropped by 77%.
The big outlier here is “trade in” costs for Cobalt. We’re looking at a massive 169,000 credit reduction in price(/value loss).

The best thing you can do during this event is to simply recycle any bad/mediocre loadouts you have, craft a rarity you want then recycling and re-crafting until you get the a loadout you want. And when you get the loadout you want move on to the next one you want; repeat until you run out of credits or crafting materials (fragments and bad loadouts). Do not buy cases unless you’re completely out of crafting materials.

Here’s my fragment balance after cleaning out my crappy loadouts  I haven’t decided what to craft with it yet.

And as always, here’s a spreadsheet for seeing how changes affect the economy. (in case I’m not around to make a thread for an event or if you just want to try something)

That event is great for sure. A lot of people should like the fact that the amount of crafting parts aquired upon recycling a Cobalt is the same amount required for crafting a Cobalt loadout. It didn’t adressed what in my opinion was the main issue (the credit cost for cobalt crafting) but with such a huge reduction in crafting costs and high amount of additional crafting parts created upon recycling, I definitely don’t feel like I should complain.

This post became a mess of quotes, my bad :s

It’s a good event indeed, but I would like to see some changes in credit cost aswell. You can recycle all you want, but still you will run ou of credits extremely fast. If you have 100k credits saved up, craft silvers all you want, you still wont have enough for more than 2 cobalts.

It doesn’t help that you get enough fragments to craft a new cobalt when recycling one, when you still have to pay 50k hard earned credits to get it. It’s like trading your old phone in for one of the same value and still have to pay a shitload of money for it. The introduction of the new crafting system took away all my desire to play this game. I’m not ranting, this event is a step in the right direction, but the crafting system itself is still shit. Hopefully more changes will come so I want to start playing again.

Yeah, I’d love to see that too. But I doubt we’re getting any.
