I’m not the only one thinking this, but if you get a silver, gold or cobalt loadout card, you expect the weapons to be silver, gold or blue. They are, all except the melee weapon. And I think that as a Phantom player having a silver or gold Katana would be a great addition to the game.
In a video where he was trying out the game, Muselk commented on the fact that he wanted to use the primary and secondary weapons more than the melee because “They are golden, and the sword isn’t and I would love to have a golden Katana.”
So, I suggest that starting on silver, the melee weapons get a color change.
