Chances are quite low for you to get the card you want. I mean everytime you trade up your precious golds for a cobalt you’re only having a 1/9 chance to get the companion agent. Wouldn’t call 5 cobalts with the wrong loadout bad luck. if those 5 were 15 however then yes, that would be bad luck.

the scary thing for me isnt not getting the one that I want, because i believe for most classes there are a lot of solid loadouts… its getting multiple of the same loadout in cobalt with no way to trade it back down or do anything with it

I believe they’re working on that. People have mentioned trading up/down useless cobalt cards before during streams, and they at least took notes of it. Can’t be sure if it’s actually in development though.

I am fairly certain they are revamping the system. Because you can’t simply keep going with the current trade-up system and have trade-ups be a realistic part of the game. Currently it takes quite a few Gold cards to trade up to a Cobalt. Well, people are going to have even fewer Cobalts to trade-up with the next tier and it’s not sustainable while still being a good feature for the playerbase. They kind of talked about this at some point in one of the dev streams a while back.

Hopefully thats going to get changed in a way that the game doesnt scare paying customers away. Usually I pay some money for F2P games after i’ve played a while if the game really fits me and i want to support it but for Dirty Bomb you literally get nothing out of it.

If they keep it that way they will really hurt their economy.

Luckily, I think Gold loadouts look better than Cobalts. And also I don’t care about cosmetics, so I’m fine with Bronze since it also camouflages you better at distance with the enemy’s line of sight.

Well, some people just dont need to overcompensate by having top card, they are completely happy with bronze that is as effective as cobalt.

Yeah I also prefer gold to cobalt like why the hell is a blue weapon better then red and black/gold weapons (except the bamboo that’s a monstrosity).

Yeah I made the worst mistake in DB so far. Decided to try my luck on a cobalt. lol never again.

one can only have peace if one accepts that they will get the worst possible loadout before they roll. and then convince themself that that loadout isnt that bad

I love the uber logical people who are so vehemently against anything above bronze. Yes, bronze is just as functionally capable as cobalt but it’s not overcompensating to want shinies in games.
