Why did SD “fix” the “bug” that allowed you to trade in your unwanted Cobalt cards for Cobalt cards of the same merc? I thought the whole point of this was to allow players to sacrifice two Cobalts and some credits for a chance at getting a Loadout they want for a Merc they want. A lot of us have been grinding for that specific Loadout so we have a few cards for the same merc and now we can’t trade them in unless its for a different Merc. So now we have a bunch of useless Loadouts that we can’t even get rid of. Many of us spend countless hours saving up for those cards, only to get screwed over. This just feels like a shameless cash grab to get players to buy more elite cases. I was more than happy to buy elite cases once in a while before, but this makes me not want to spend any money on this game. I can’t think of any other reason why they would do this other than to milk more money out of their player base. Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.
Loadout Cards: Shameless Cash Grab?

Feel free to step buy and hate on that fix with all of us.
ummmmm. Calling it a shameless cash grab, is a little harsh to say the least. This is a free to play game and they give so much of their content away for free to players who spend time playing everyday. They need to make money and selling cosmetic items is one of the only ways to do that in a FTP environment. So you didn’t get the card you wanted from grinding? You should have understood the risks involved with putting the time in. Its RNG based, yeah it sucks sometimes but its all cosmetic above bronze and the higher loadout cards are kinda there for people who are willing to pay for it.
Yes they could improve the loadout card system, but calling it a shameless cash grab? I think not.
Tbh, I’m starting to agree with players I’ve met who refused to Dirty Bomb in the first place after they saw that it was made by Splash Damage because they made the stupidest mistakes in the past with other games and scared off many gamers.
I’m not sure how it can be a shameless cash grab when elite cases are still just as awful as they’ve always been. Get the bronzes you want, forget about loadouts. It’s literally the only thing I do when I pick up a new merc. I don’t feel “good” about having a cobalt skinned loadout, so it seems pointless to worry about trading up, no matter the system.
