Loadout cards on steam market

(canzpl) #1

It would be cool to put out unused loadout cards on the steam market and get the ones you want instead of counting on the RNG when you create cards…

Unless I am missing something, given that the game is a free and that new accounts get hefty credit bonuses the first few levels, I really don’t see how trading would work.

credit is not real money. and on the steam marketplace you make steam wallet transactions. what dont you understand?

(Ghosthree3) #4

He’s suggesting people could spam new accounts for fast credits/drops then trade off cards.

I’d have to agree with Ghostthree3. Many players will be doing this. Also people would go an recreate level 1-5 accounts and transfer the cobalts so they can keep playing with ‘‘new’’ Players.

[Edit : If they could somehow implement an In-game marketplace however where it costs certain amounts of credits for a certain amount of loadout rarity to even start a trade and you’re only able to trade a certain amount a day AND a required level to do so, For example look a Warframe. They have a limited trading amount and trading costs In-game currency.

For example to trade up a cobalt with your friend ur friend would be needing to pay atleast 10k. so if ur trading 2 cobalts to him hes gonna have to pay 20k etc and needing atleast level 10+ to even start trading. However this system is no way near perfect it could be a viable option.

Cobalts on new accounts? What about the bronze loadouts? Aren’t they like 4$/3.49€?
People will be making new accounts and sell 17.500 CR bronze for less money than SD…
Also scamming will be more lucrative. You can scamm… like Sniff, and trade all his Cobalts

Yeah, this would also be a problem for singular, legit accounts. Those players that have enough credits could frequently buy sought after cards and resell them for cheap.

I want to thank the people who responded with the cons of trading.

There’s so many of these threads on the Steam forum that I think people don’t actually look at the potential downsides of trading in a game like this.

Min level to start trading : 15 … Wouldnt that work?

Trading in games is cool. But most of the time trading don’t work on many game types. Especially when things can be bought with real money. You see it at CS:GO. CS:GO is a scam.
I think if Dirty bomb would have all loadouts for credits only, and only cosmetic stuff would be untradeable, it would work in some way.

(canzpl) #11

what the hell are you talking about? “CSGO is a scam” rotfl. the csgo skin market i one of the best things about steam. using the in-game drops you can buy games because you got something more than average expensive. i got two AAA titles on steam on release date because of csgo skin drops.

selling loadout cards on the market would be an amazing thing. all of you poeple are whining about new players running with cobalt cards. so what? its only cosmetic. why would you care? its the exact same thing in csgo. you can have the most expensive knives and guns, and still be a shitty player that is stuck in silver.

skin colors on weapons dont matter, skill does. this goes the same for db. cobalt means nothing if you cant use your gun

(Ghosthree3) #12

The point is it lowers rarity.

(Aazhyd) #13

You pay for CS:GO. It’s 14 euro on Steam currently. While in DB, an account is free. So it’s easy to rack up the first couple of credit bonuses, then buy 2 good loadouts and either trade them to your main account or sell them to someone else.

It can and will be easily abused.

A workaround could be to be able to sell loadouts back to the bank (the game itself) for a reduced return. Like 2500 credits per loadout (bronze, more for higher rarities).

market where u can trade with other players = no
market where u can trade back to the game = yes
