So in the current patch we got this new and awesome fix for a bug that affected us all in a very negative way and was almost gamebreaking!

Yeah, no seriously. What happened and why is this even a thing? It almost looks like SD has multiple teams who make updates separated and smash things from the other team months later.
this fix is pretty much BS. For f2p and als p2p players.
And because I don’t know if it affects other people (but I am certain it does), I will only refer to how it affects me.
I’m not a friend of Cobalts. I don’t find them good looking, and I don’t need them for the sake of having Cobalts.
(For people who actually like Cobalts, and try to get Loadout in Cobalt it’s basically the same thing)
So I work on Gold loadouts for my mercs. I Trade-Up, and if I have 3 Gold loadouts I don’t like, I Trade-In them, to have a 4th roll for a Gold loadout. Well, now I can’t do this anymore.
Right now I worked on a Gold Stoker. I have 2 Gold ones I don’t use and I wanted to Trade-In both of them with a Golden Aura. and basically, I’m fucked. I can’t use Stokers for a Trade-In and I’m forced to get 3 more Golds and Trade-Up for a Cobalt Stoker I don’t wanna use.
I would love to see an official response from Nexon/SD by @RazielWarmonic or @stayfreshshoe why this was changed and labelled as a “Bugfix”, even though it was labelled as a feature in a previous update?
Right here: http://puu.sh/mO82m/ea002d3a48.jpg
A future update will contain this functionality
Why is this “Future Update” a bug all of a sudden that needed to be fixed?
Loadout Cards for the selected Merc to Trade In "Bugfix"
Yeah, its pointless to have that block. Most people trade in the same merc because that’s what they’ve been grinding to get a good card for.
I was thinking about making a thread for this as well because the whole idea is just beyond stupid. How is it a bugfix when it pretty much just breaks the trade-in system entirely?
As if getting a cobalt/gold that you actually want wasn’t hard enough already, it’s even harder now. You can no longer use your current cobalt to trade in for a new cobalt that you actually want of the same merc despite paying 24k in-game credits + another cobalt loadout for basically a game of pure chance with absoutely no guarantees.
The trade-in system was bad before, now it’s even worse.
This thing is scary. It just shows how bad they are managing the whole bug fixing situation.
How the hell can you mistake a feature for a bug. The worst thing is that during the whole fixing process, no one even noticed how stupid it was to remove this behavior. I almost feel like they are trolling us.
I am sorry for my aggressive tone but with each update come more bugs and each time they are more annoying than the previous ones.
Agree on all points. It’s pretty weird how they went from providing a functionality to naming it a bug. It should be left up to the user if he wants to risk similar merc loadouts on a new RNG loadout when trading-in higher cards. This is just forcing down the throats of what was not needed. Not the right move SD, rethink this please.
they fix’d it, not!
not really…for the folks who try to grind one merc, it brings additional effort in grind…Maybe that is the hidden agenda of SD^^ Wanna grind? we make it harder for you freeloaders… That is the message I get.
I don’t understand why they decided to do this. Such an odd bug fix to a feature that was better off without it.

I mean, it also screws over people who buy many Elite cases. If you want to Trade-In Cobalts for the same merc you have bad loadouts for, well, you can’t. Have fun spending money and not being able to get a merc you want because of this stupid mechanic.
This bugfix looks very much intentional. The player base is dwindling, so they push the remaining players for as much money as possible before the whole thing collapses.
Therefore the trading gets restricted even more, your options are either to trade in four cobalts for 72k credits or to buy more elite cases.
Don’t expect any official response on the issue, much less a reversion.
Well then my quest to get cobalt arty in S72 & B81 is officially over & the few cases that I use to buy every couple of weeks won’t be getting bought no more.
I’m gonna guess that it was a Nexon-informed move. Not slandering Nexon in any way, but this looks like a poor decision to get people to buy more cases, so they get more money. Totally understandable, but I don’t think it was the right move (if it was they’re move at all)
If this is true, it shows that Nexon can singlehandedly revert mechanics SD implemented. And if this is also true, the game is doomed.
I want to see how this unwanted bugfix issue develops.
Still no official reply from our community managers or developers.
This move really disappointed me.
I feel so dumb for the money I spent. 'll never happen again.
I agree with all, this “bug fix” it seems very strange, I like see if anyone can draw the attention of CM to know what is the explanation for this!
I am disappointed with this
SD is like the James Bond of the development world. So many continuity errors.
So did the entire original SD team dissapear and get replaced with half-assed phonies or something? This newest “fine-tuning” was more like a “fine-middle finger to the playerbase”.
Yeah, I remember trading in a cobalt Fragger and Stoker for another Stoker. I was like “Oh wow it actually worked”. So I thought this was the “future update” that they were talking about. Reading this now, I realize it was a bug. Which is stupid. It’s like saying “Hey this new IV we accidentally put in your bloodstream is actually helping you heal faster, but it’s more expensive so… we’re taking it away.” Like why is this a bad thing, according to the devs, but they’re gonna put it in eventually anyways? Why was this ever a problem anyways?

It was not a bug. They made it a feature. And then someone fucked up and labelled it as a bug.
