Loadout card collections and rewards idea.

So yeah, I’ve been pondering this idea for some time due to owning all but on merc and finding all that’s left to do is horde credits. My idea is pretty simple and it resembles any sort of card collection idea that we all as kids got involved in at some point.
Basic explanation for this idea is this, have like a ‘sticker book’ type of system where you could put all the loadouts for specific mercs. For example, we’ll use stoker. Collect all of his loadouts in bronze and get a reward for doing so, now there would be no credit fee involved with adding the card to the collection but you would have to send the card to the collection making it unusable there after.
Now the reward side of thing is where I’m personally having problems coming up with something fair and not over rewarding or selling the player short. My initial though was that you could trade in an all bronze collection for a specific loadout of your choice in gold, now bare in mind this was my first idea where I was thinking of a trade in alternative.
The other idea that I came up with is legend cards (Yes the names shit sue me) but anyway, the idea would be to have this running alongside a revised version of the current trade albeit a fixed and fair version. Where you could trade in a collection of all the loadouts for one merc in various card rarity (maybe make it that you need a certain number of card that are gold or silver or maybe have tiers of legend cards) and get a legend card. My idea for these legend card is a random selection of skin, maybe ones made by the community in a contest? And you could pick your loadout for said card.
I personally feel that this idea would deal with the issue of having loads of the same loadout in the same rarity like sniff has for example. It would also encourage people to spend more credits to get the loadout card they need to complete the set, all in all increasing incentive to progress in the game. Now I know there will be people that think this idea is absurd or even impossible to implement and that’s why I felt I should post it, maybe the collective thinking of the community could get this system or something like it to work where ita fair and fun for all players no matter the skill level or how much you have in your wallet after all we play games for fun. Hope you guys can give me feedback on this and hopefully come up with some ideas of your own, thanks!

I’m all for the idea. I played Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 for almost 1500 hours and all of it because I kept unlocking call signs and emblems.

Just like you, I’ve unlocked all mercs in DB and feel like there’s nothing else to do. There may be other progression ideas well suited for keeping someone playing after getting all mercs, but what you propose is a great start.

I’d suggest though not to lose your loadouts. Just have them present in the scrapbook as you own them. Then add some sort of loadout mastery counter. For instance recording the amount of revives with a specific loadout on a medic and then lock that one in the scrapbook as a mastered loadout. If you’d master all nine loadouts you should then get a special merc mastery skin, which you can toggle on or off to cover any of the loadouts you own.

This way, not just cobalt owning people can fel like they actually own the highest loadout possible because they bought elite cases, but the highest possible loadout would be the mastery loadout. And you could get it by using and mastering nine bronze loadouts or even higher rarity. Mix and match, but bronze needs to be the lowest.

It would motivate people to use the 17.5k loadout purchase to get all the specificly needed loadouts and then you’d have to invest gameplay time in each loadout, proving you manage to use each weapon combination and each augment setup. Once you’d achieved all the goals set by the different loadouts of one mercs you’d get that master loadout. I’d say it could be mainly white with a couple of thin lines emphasising the mercs personal colour.

Just imagine a mastered Vassili all in white with a couple of pink lines, or a Stoker with two golden lines down the back. Kira with the turquoise from her hair, Arty with beige, Sawbonez with the green of his bandana, etc.

I’d love to see that happen, as long as the challenges are merc centred and take advantage of each loadouts advantages.

@Lumi
Yeah that’s a great addition to my initial idea and sorts the problems I encountered trying to find a perfect reward system. The idea of mastering mercs is something I want regardless if it rewards like my idea or not. The idea of mastering all the mercs will make everyone improve with said merc and overall it will increase the average skill level throughout the community making games alot more fun in the process. It’s a shame mine and your ideas will probably not be seen by a Dev or anyone that would be interested in this idea but it’s good to know that there are people like me that want a system like this. Thank you for adding to the idea with what I think is the perfect reward system.I’ll try and work on a good presentation so I can make the idea much more clear, I’ll integrate your idea also because I believe the 2 ideas could go hand in hand with eachother.
