Finishing finals tonight and then I’ll be online again. I’ll be sure to try and bring back some early testers as well that dropped off the grid.

There’s a draft tonight. When the patch came out, passworded servers weren’t working. That was only fixed last night.

The organiser didn’t show up, + everybody thought it was an hour late (don’t know why). At least we played some Execution which was fun :smiley:

Potty was more than happy to sort it out (which he did) when he arrived! He, like a lot of others, thought it was 8PM UK time. Also we tried to bring it up to 20 since we didn’t want 5v5 with 3 teams meaning one team always had to wait. We eventually got 1 more person so play 4v4.

I’ve been busy mapping and bot-scripting for another free, online mulitplayer shooter: W:ET. Nothing fancy, it’s just that when you launch a project you got to finish it. (My goal is to wrap it up during the upcoming weekend, and publish it in the W:ET section of the forum.) Will return to Extraction soon on a server near you. :wink:

Well, I’ll still be posting for something. If not EvacZone then something to organize people together, the only reason I took over posting EvacZone events was to help grow the PUG community and keep it going. Weather or not I could show up to the event, wasn’t important to me as long as the event took place marginally on time. For the prior Thursday event, I asked Mustang to organize that event which made it turn out much better. Ontop of people not mixing up times zone :stuck_out_tongue: as long as someone can be present to run the event with the people who signed up then there wouldn’t be issues.

I would like to say sorry for not being more clear about the EvacZone #17 Draft Match, that I would likely not be present anyway. Ontop of forgetting to actually ask someone to run it should I not be there, when I saw that Potty/Seanza signed up I just assumed it would be handled well. Not to mention alot of life stuff came up really fast this week, so I’ll take the fallout for that. :<

Bitey’s been doing a great job organizing pugs and weekend events for the past few weeks. Whether or not his pug threads have an “evaczone” tag on them in the future makes little difference to the players.

I do find it sad that evaczone doesn’t appreciate the massive effort he’s put in, though. Removing his access from your teamspeak and saying things like “Bitey won’t be posting threads again!” (which is not something you have any authority over) is a waste of resources and detrimental to community cohesion. Even worse, is when potty goes on teamspeak and smacktalks Bitey behind his back. That’s really unnecessary, and reflects poorly on evaczone as a community website.

  1. Bitey was given access temporarily by me to organise people for one night he was having a draft game. It was agreed that it was temporary.
  2. I said the “Bitey won’t be posting threads again!” in jest… lighten up.

Who said we don’t appreciate the effort? I’ll have you know that we do indeed appreciate the efforts of anybody who has time for this game. Bitey has been a regular on the EvacZone TS3 for quite some time, that’s why we’re okay with bantering with him. He can take it, as well as give it back. It’s all in good fun.
