Lightning is a recon that has a variety of sniper rifles, pistols and machine pistols at his disposal.

Profile
Lightning is a special operative that was very highly ranked in the Spetsnaz. Lightning got his name because of how quick and devastating his openings for attacks were, with the use of explosive rounds loaded into the rifle he is capable of taking out multiple targets at once. Lightning is also part of the famous triple-man-group “SOF” (Special Operative Force) which consisted of Fang, Thunder and Lightning, though his name was unknown amongst the trio. The explosive rounds were developed by Lightning himself, he thought to himself: “Why take two bullets to kill two people, when you can use one?” and that is when Lightning not only being a very skilled marksman (depending on the player :smiley: ) had got his name but because of his famous rounds called “Big Guys”.

When you use the ability Lightning will reload his weapon (0.85x speed) and will be able to fire normally. If you reload the weapon without firing all rounds then the rounds will be back to normal. The damage (16cm area regardless of the weapon), the damage of the bullets will be (0.75x of headshot damage) so for example MOA does 150 headshot damage so the explosive rounds would do 113 damage (rounded up regardless) and you will not be able to headshots. If Lightning has no ammo he will be able to load in another magazine after the cool down expires.

Ability feels much too strong tbh, since it would allow you to one-shot 11 out of 19 mercs with MOA/FEL-IX, even more so considering the very low cooldown.
Also a recon type unit should have some kind of spotting ability (I hate Phantom and I won’t accept “Hey but Phantom got no spotting ability either and counts as recon”).

SKS feels like worse PDP/Grandeur from looking at the stat sheet.

I agree with the above statement in regards to killing low-hp mercs. Having aoe effect damage per head shot actually discourages a team from grouping up and moving at once: especially when medics will instantly get put to low health or downed just by standing near the person they’re expected to heal.
