Lighting Issues In-Game

I’m posting this to see if anyone else is experiencing strange lighting issues with Brink.

I’m one of the lucky ones that hasn’t had any real framerate or crashing issues with the game (save for the audio / text issues) but I’ve noticed some strangeness on certain areas of maps where I’ll be going from one room to another, or from outdoors to indoors (or in some cases, just from changing my view from straight ahead to looking at the floor) and notice the lighting in the area change completely… almost to a darker blueish-tinted color.

Every driver for every hardware component on my machine is up-to-date (including DirectX) and I’ve only noticed this “effect” in Brink.

I did see this post (http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25383&highlight=blue) and watched the video, but I wouldn’t describe my problem as that severe.

Also, I have r_shadows set to “0” already.

Update… this was actually RESOLVED for me by ENABLING shadows :\

r_shadows “1” (in the console) followed by a vid_restart command made the issue go away.

I tweaked my autoexec.cfg file to enable shadows again.

Not sure if it helps, but I also uninstalled my ATI drivers, rebooted, ran the Driver Sweeper program to remove the leftover ATI Display stuff, rebooted, installed the 11.5a RC3 drivers again, rebooted.
