Lighting Help

The Lights that are Placed in Radiant have No Effect, I tried Different Light Phases and noresults.

Are you using dlights?
Did you do a bsp -meta compile before a -light compile?

nope they are Just Normal Lights, I always Compile bsp -meta, and with -lights -fast -samples 2 with no results

map has no dlights !!

e.g.


"classname" "light"
"_color" "1.000000 0.650980 0.650980"
"origin" "-1392.125000 456.000000 200.000000"
"light" "300"

OK, this is Weird

If i Compile my Map as a Quake 3 map (bsp version 46), all the Lights on the Map Work, and i have all 21 Lightmaps

But if i build has a ET Map “game et”, i only get 7 Lightmaps and the lights dont show :frowning: if only ydnar was here

I decided to Compile has a Quake 3 map and Hex edit the BSP Version for it too Work in ET, its the only way i can get Lights to Work.

try working with a lightgrid
(draw lightgrid brush over the areas where people can go - or look up for additional info on the interwebs, it’s easy to find)
