Light fade out?

From light shader, (or light entites) does the light fade out linear or ^2?

Would be great to be able to set a light shader to fade linear or ^2…

Only throwing some idea…

Like also be able to set the light range without changing the light intensity.

Or set the power of the shader cast by a light?
Like a major light, you set it to cast really dark shadow, while smaller light being set to cast less dark shadow…
