But mainly when a light engineer if their is a health problem you can buff your weapon also im not saying all i do is buff my weapons i buff teammates weapons to just to get that clear in case anyone yells at me :stroggtapir:
light body type = awsome
you do know when using light u can use the Kross and a pistol right…?
Can’t really get into light as a medic. It’s nice to be able to run around and walljump but medium just feels so much better from a weapon perspective. Gerund with GL + SMG (Carb or Kross) beats SMG + Pistol/Revolver every day of the week for me.
You quoted my post but didn’t read it. That makes me sad.
I can’t work with the pistols/revolvers in this game. They just lack that certain something.
Revolvers are the ONLY way to go in the light secondary area.
Run out of ammo with your SMG and enemy is coming around the corner? Revolver kills them in 3 shots.
Every reply makes you sound like the worst person to have on a team… where did I say it was fine? (you can try an unedited quote if that’s possible). Again you’re being an ignorant tard that’s skewing the small picture to fit your dim view on things instead of being able to comprehend the bigger picture. Lets look at your worldclass reasoning here shall we. And how do you think the scoreboard should be laid out in its current form? By kills? Objectives completed? What fair way is there that will purely highlight skill and no skew it towards repetitive gameplay.
No. I said that system is stupid and people thinking the system is fine, i.e. you, are stupid and probably just taking advantage of it and don’t care.
I play medic a ton for my team because it’s so overpowered
So really all you’re doing is taking advantage, and not playing the game for the sake of the game. You’re the worst type of player there is, and don’t deserve to be on my team. I’ve probably been playing a medic in games longer than you, and I played for the medic… and not because some XP convinced me otherwise years down the line… you’re a bit pathetic really.
I wish I could play you in some kind of 1 v 1 setting just so I could show you what real skill is. Your team and mine should scrim, but you’re probably too terrible of a player to even be playing at a competitive level with an organized team.
Oh lol you’re one of ‘them’. My comp days are long behind me, I play for fun… and I can bet I’m getting much more from the game than you ever will. But quick, link us to your accomplishments so we can all marvel!
But if you want a ‘challenge’, Quake 3, Defrag, fastcap, space ctf (CTF4), 2.4secs… shows your moving skill.
Don’t think the parkour of light offers an advantage? Then you haven’t seen this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjtZmukdeOY
I indeed did read it you mentioned that the kross felt better then a pistol or revolver and i said you can use the kross as a light
Revolvers are the ONLY way to go in the light secondary area.
yay. ive been playing with the light body lately and its just awsome. who said brink looked slow? hm. i dont see that.
its so fast paced, especially with a light. you run, ledge, slide, all the time. its so much fun moving like a maniac.
and i dont even know all the maps, i havent even played all of them. but the smart makes it so easy, its beautiful.
i still barely use the walljump, cause i just dont know where to use it efficiently, but i guess how awsome it will be when i know the maps inside out.
light body + medic = super awsome. light body + engineer = also awsome. you become a lightning, rushing, insane killing machine. and i havnt even had much practice. beware. the machine that kills comes for you all. the killmachine. muhahaha. run. :stroggtapir:
Well, Wall jumping should be used EVERYWHERE. It’s not so much to clear crazy gaps, but it can be used for that, you can also wall jump down entire hallways…
I use wall jumping to gain speed, as you move faster than sprinting coming off of a wall jump. It can also be used as an excellent dodging mechanic… say you are being chased, run at the closest wall and jump off it towards your escape…
I don’t think I’ve ever been killed in the middle of a wall jump yet. You can also use wall jumps to climb faster. If the thing you are trying to climb clips you from the waist down, you do a 1 hand vault. If it’s over your head, you do a 2 hand climb. While lights climb the fastest, it still takes the weapon out of your hand momentarily, whereas if you do the 1 hand vault, you can shoot whilst doing it.
The wall jump is extremely versatile… It’s not 1Dimensional, as in… to be used at “Certain parts” of a map…
But for a clear example of how it CAN be used in certain parts of a map, take container city for example. If you are coming from the resistence side and you run to the alternate route (before the police bust the first wall) you can actually clear that gap to that upper snipe window foyer area by jumping off the wall. You can make it without any vault or climbing animation if you time it right.
Experiment, start using wall jumps all the time to get a better understanding what kind of situations it’s useful for…
Personally I prefer the Machine Pistol (the one that looks like a pistol, not the uzi) with an extended magazine, enhanced Ironsights, and the Equipment Sling. 30 rounds in the magazine, it can kill virtually anybody with the exception of a heavy with body armor on in one magazine.
Being a light, you sure do get good at “hit n’ runs.” The revolver has too much kick for it to be cool IMO.
dude. you have a serious problem. you should be more relaxed. and you should not call me idiot.
all you do is interprete wrong things in my topic, cause you think i claim i am better than you.
this threads own and only purpose was to express the fun im having with the light body type. who told you i did any good with it? who told you i was top at the leader boards?
i dont care actually. you really, really dont get the gameplay idea when you look constantly at the scoreboard.
I like it when a light tryhard zooms around the corner with a drum mag darn 9 and flies back around the corner because he ate **** instantly from my hjammerdiem.
to make things complete op should use carb as well, kinda sums up the imbalances in this game
I can see many people switching to LIGHT in the near future, the mobility is fantastic, the SMGs are powerful and fully buffed you have moderate survivability, as long as you avoid unneeded damage.
LIGHT reminds me alot of Scout gameplay in TF2 and it’s a very independed archetype who can easily hold his ground alone with the option of running away whenever it gets too hot. I started off as HEAVY, but i got to love the freedom you have as LIGHT, it makes BRINKing alot more fun!
To tell you the truth, I haven’t even given the thought of a light body type. Maybe when I reach level 20, I’ll create a new character and turn that into a light. Has anyone at this time reached higher sniper spots during the game while using the light body? Or my question is that the light body is really fast, and just utilize that factor into the equation so to speak.
No. I said that system is stupid and people thinking the system is fine, i.e. you, are stupid and probably just taking advantage of it and don’t care. I didn’t say at all that everyone who plays medic is dumb, like you so stupidly imply. I play medic a ton for my team because it’s so overpowered. My point, if you had enough intelligence to grasp it, was that I don’t like the class being overpowered and that the current scoreboard system doesn’t actually reward skill between classes. Go look up what words like between and within mean so that you can be less ignorant.
I wish I could play you in some kind of 1 v 1 setting just so I could show you what real skill is. And mine is bigger (ask my wife) so I am more awesome!
You are funny
Well, first of all. Medic and Engineer are OP XP wise so you’re probably enjoying yourself because they’re are such easy classes to play and feel like you’re better than everyone else when it’s just the class being easy mode.
Second of all, I want to play light armor, but the actual parkour benefit is soo little compared to the HP loss. I find that a lot of firefights come pretty close, so that change in HP means a lot in terms of who will die in a shooting exchange and who lives. So far for me, unless I’m trying to XP whore as medic to level up, living through a firefight exchange so that I can regen health and keep pressure on the enemy >>>> the slight speed and parkour advantage that light offers in maps that feel like Enclosed Corridor Choke Points - The Game.
… + other quotes
What makes you consider Medic OP? That they get too many XP?
So if XP reward for medic would be lowered (and yes, that would be a good move, and I’m playing medic only atm as it is the spec tree I maxed out first), it would make the medic class harder to play? That’s quite a weird line of thinking, or I’m mislead in your PoV. The amount of XP given is nothing indicative of how hard the class is to play.
Medic gain too many XP? Well, sure
Does that make them OP and easy to play? Errf, not at all. They are easy to play for other reasons (self heal, mainly)
I am also playing as light alot at the moment. I would not say the light is overpowered though, if any body type needs balancing it is the heavy, he could do with a HP boost if anything.
I am finding the light is best used either extremely up close or at medium range using a vantage point with cover. For example on container city As resistance I love going above the large door and sitting up on that walkway with the windows. You can rain fire down on the security as they emerge from one of the two spawn routes. As a light soldier I can just get up there and toss molotovs, flashbangs and grenades all day and keep myself and anyone else up their resupplied. You can stop soldiers getting a plant pretty successfully by doing that.
