Levelling Cap

(Zekariah) #1

I’m aware that levelling up finishes at 20. But then where to? Is there like a prestige option? A credit system?

Another Q: Is there a daily levelling up cap? Halo had a credit cap and capped ranks to Lt Col until a month or so later. Is there anything like that going to apply?

Sorry if the topic has been covered, couldn’t find any thread titles on levelling.

I don’t think Splash would pull that **** Bungie did, and there are 10 character slots for you to use :stuck_out_tongue:

After getting to lvl 20, you can still buy ranks if you offer flowers to Badman, he’ll credit you with one new shiny stars each time you send him 40 roses top quality. This way there is no really max rank and people can show their true dedication!

Peace

Well, at least i now know my love won’t go to waste…

This almost seems like he appropriate time to break into song

(Zekariah) #6

But seriously, what happens after lvl 20? and how long would it take for an average player to reach 20?

(Nail) #7

who are you asking ?
how would anyone know before extensive playing what any averages are ?

After you’re level 20, you learn to play your class role, learn the maps, get a clan, and achieve true happiness. Not necessarily in that order or through Brink.

After level 20, you can respec and really tailor your character to your play style (for that character). In the first 4 levels, you aren’t allowed access to any class abilities because they start at rank 2. You can only buy universal abilities. So, if for some reason, you don’t feel like spending up to 4 coins in the universal page, you can put them else where. Also, real competition doesn’t start till rank 5.

As for reaching 20, no one really knows. IMO, it won’t take more time then 1 prestige level in CoD.

Edit: Everything I just wrote is my own speculation, so take it as such.

I sure hope you’re right. Personally, I think what you’ve said would be awesome. Hopefully it only takes a total of 20ish hours to get to level 20. I find games to be the funnest when you have the whole arsenal at your finger tips, that’s the whole reason I want to get to the max rank in most games… to simply unlock everything. Which is also why I never prestiged in CoD: Black Ops.
It would be cool if getting to level 20 was only a quarter of the battle.

I’m thinking about 7-10 hours. Nothing too crazy.

…And flower arranging talent!

On XP save servers in ET I’d just keep playing the game with everything maxed out… The game was fun enough to not need endless bribes.

(DarkSlayer54) #14

I’m kind of wondering if games actually get funner to have items locked… I can’t help but think in the back of my mind that reaching the max level very quickly will get boring, but then I remember a lot of kick ass FPS’s from the early 2000’s that didn’t have levels and that would still be fun today if it still had a community.
These are the moments I wish I could just jump into the future to find answers to all the questions… but then again, if I could do that I’d probably just stay in the future to play Brink. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Bullveyr) #15

I would rather jump back to the early 2000’s where a lot of RtCW servers where around.

I had also more hair back then.

those were the times…

I feel sorry for people who can’t enjoy the gameplay for its own sake and need some carrot on a stick to stop them losing interest

Brink != WoW

Levelling cap? … Sounds like something you would get in TF2

(tokamak) #18

After level 20 you can keep on recombining the skills looking for the one that fits your play style the best, which will take much longer than just reaching level 20.

(Hyperplutonium) #19

In regard to the comment “I want to level up fast so I have a whole arsenal at my fingertips”. You don’t get your weapons by leveling. You get them by doing the challenges witch unlock weapons and attachments.

Peace Out

Nope, once you get to level 20 though, you can level up your hand-eye coordination and map/game knowledge to an unlimited cap.
